Wins us another SEC Championship.
7-2 may get us a share of the title.
Not taking just one - just one v Ark and the Sunday debacle vs Vandy is looming large.

That would be nice, but if I had to put my money on a finish, I’d go with 6-3 and would be pleased with a 20-10 SEC season and national seed.

I think 6.5 is the O/U for remaining SEC wins. 2-1 versus usce and 5-1 against Missouri and bama would be a strong finish and easily within our capabilities, but it’s hard to sweep even bad sec teams and then getting 2 at Usce is tough also. I would be slightly disappointed with 6-3 but it would be hard to complain If we got there by going 2-1 each week.

South Carolina will be playing for their hosting lives next weekend. This concerns me.

Hot Take - if we win 2 at USCE, we will at least tie for the SEC regular season championship. Missouri is gawd-awful plus we play them at home & Bama has really beaten up on the bottom 1/3 of the conference - we should win 5 of those 6. I am not confident of winning two in Columbia this weekend though because Hot Take #2 “Our weekend starting pitching is a damned mess right now”, but damned the bullpen has been awesome recently

I agree. If we take the series at Carolina we are set up to make a run for the title in the last two weeks. That's a very big if though. I'd be curious to know the records of SEC teams sweeping at home traveling to team that was just swept on the road. Maybe there's nothing to that, but I'd bet the home team in that situation does pretty well.

@ USCe
Missouri (home)
@ Bama

Last nine SEC games. So 'where' do you see 3 losses in those nine games? 'Cause I just don't see it!

Taking two at USC will be difficult. They are a top 20 team at home. We have one legit starting pitcher so Friday is the only game we should feel confident in winning, the other two are toss-ups. Say we only win one, then we have to go 5-1 against Bama and Mizzou. I don’t care how bad they are, they are still SEC competition. I think we have a really good team, but I also see a lot of flaws that dont allow me to think we are going to go 8-1 or 9-0.
