He threw a few beans tonight at 97-98... Overthrown pitches were both 96.

His stuff is unreal. I thought he spiked a couple breaking balls, but UAB’s guys chased them out of the zone. Not sure that happens against SEC hitter.

I still can’t believe we didn’t see him in the Sunday game at Auburn.

Truth. I looked at his body movements. Didn’t realize his overthrow was less. Look I got railed on for believing in him but I’ve said many times he is our Cole Gordon. But way more talented. We’ve got to use him and trust him at times. His stuff is crazy and with Sims he’s mid inning but to be honest if he is on and confident he’s potentially our best overall starter.

I could not stop smiling watching that. Seeing him smile on the mound was just awesome. It’s like you could see him finally exhaling and having fun again. Throwing gas and those breaking balls for strikes like that was just BEAUTIFUL. We need him. Man I hope this is the start of an amazing long pitching career for him. So much fun to watch.

I’m so rooting for him and Hatcher. I keep saying I know they are gonna produce. May be wrong with Hatcher but I truly believe Cerantola has it. Believe it was Polk that said tall guys took time to get their stuff together but I believe he’s the guy we are gonna be the most proud of.
The relief he had as NWADOG said was the best!! Let’s go!!!

It’s looked so much simpler for him since pitching exclusively from the stretch his last two outings. We probably should have made that adjustment for him earlier but better late than never.

Perhaps his role is out of the bullpen? If we can get this out of him in more pressure situations we will have TWO lights out closers. I'd love to see him again in a more extended outing.
