Hancock hitting .188 in conference would probably be my biggest concern. We’ve gotten some other guys going but he was our best hitter the first part of the season and is now in a real funk.

Generally speaking we are what we are at this point. We will lean on our bullpen and timely hitting. Need more consistency from starting pitching but I think those guys will be fine.

Hancock hitting .188 in conference would probably be my biggest concern. We’ve gotten some other guys going but he was our best hitter the first part of the season and is now in a real funk.

Generally speaking we are what we are at this point. We will lean on our bullpen and timely hitting. Need more consistency from starting pitching but I think those guys will be fine.

I think one thing to remember with these SEC only stats is that our schedule has been mostly top heavy. We're going to start getting some opportunities to fatten up some numbers once we get past this weekend.

It's also tremendously positive that we are at 10-5 in conference despite some struggles from some of our guys. We have yet to really put everything together.

Also, Landon Sims might be the best pitcher on the planet right now. I'm glad Lemonis finally found the testicular fortitude to use him twice in a weekend and I hope we see more of that because we're going to need it from him when we get into tournament play.

I’m beginning to come around to the idea of giving Harding the Sunday starting gig and using Fristoe in long relief. On average he’s only been a 2-4 inning guy in conference play anyway, and tends to be quite effective for a couple of innings and then loses command.

That may just be a nitpick though since we’re using both guys on Sunday anyway. Harding had a weird outing yesterday, I thought he was really good when he was not facing Leatherwood, but of course Leatherwood crushed him twice.

Forsythe and Tanner need to put the ball in play more. Tough for other team to make mistakes when you whiff, or worse watch the ball go by. We saw what happens with just a pop up several times this weekend.

James as well, but he's obviously able to make up for it some. Hatcher, I just don't know.

Hancock gets on base, leads the team in walks and has very few strikeouts. Good things happen when you put the ball in play
