Not to pile on Hatcher but that was a pretty brutal at bat in a situation where a soft ground ball or a routine fly out would’ve been perfectly fine.

He definitely was over swinging. I think he was trying too hard nto get a ball up in the air deep enough to score the runner from 3rd. Just hit the damned ball.

They have one NCAA tourney appearance in their history so I assumed they just don’t care about baseball. Which is a shame really because there are other similar schools in their region who do a really good job with baseball.

Cade Smith is going to be a big time pitcher for us. He absolutely looks the part.

Cade Smith is a bit of a wild card. He’s got good stuff, just needs to dial in the control in a little. He could a big asset late in the season. I hope he gets more innings.

I like him too. Some obvious location issues at times, but when the heat was on, he threw some great pitches. Those first two to the batter that was trying to bunt were as good as it gets

He is a strike thrower, the layoff from his injury has him working himself into shape. He is just a little rusty as he only has thrown around 50 pitches this year. Very quick worker also.
