Oh no, one of Morehead's relatives is on here. We're in trouble as he will be out for revenge.**

Seriously, I only saw 2 from SEC schools on here. I suppose the whole SEC could just break away from the NCAA and do whatever we want.

This board governs all NCAA universities at the D1, D2, and D3 levels. The SEC has 2 of 22 seats. How many more do you really expect?

Perhaps a better way to put it, only from 2 SEC states. Of course, I could have easily overlooked some or not know about others.

A quick look shows 3 from states in which SEC schools reside. Regardless of how many are in SEC states- so what? I genuinely dont even understand why this thread was started. I can tell its linked to the gender identity issues that seem to scare so many, but I am not sure why it matters who is on the board of governors. And the OP offered up no comment so thats currently a dead end for actual discussion.

- Are people afraid the south wont be 'properly represented' in this? If so, do they really not understand that many states outside of the south are also in a tizzy over gender identity and have their own discriminatory bills that would land them in the same position if the bills are signed into law?
This isnt some uniquely southern issue. I know many in the South like to boast about the Bible Belt and I know many seem to view this as a religious issue, but its a cultural issue and plenty of people outside of the mighty South will be impacted the same.
- Are people really wanting the SEC to disband from the NCAA? If so, who is on this list doesnt much matter. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. Secession is in the South's nature though. The game isnt going how they want? Take your ball and stomp home.

Im lost as to why this list of people matters.

I think it's an excellent thread for no other reason than it triggered your dumb *** before 8 am on a Tuesday morning.

The big 5 conferences have discussed leaving the NCAA for years. Maybe it is time!

There's going to be a break at some point. If you've listened to the image case, it's very clear the conferences do not like the NCAA.

Just create another "gender" for sports called Transgender and let them compete in that category. That way men's and women's sports remain unaffected.

There is nothing worse than a damn Iowa yankee telling people in Mississippi how they should feel about certain issues or how stupid and short-sighted their opinions are. It is basically all you do on here.

And yet that's what the NCAA is literally proposing you ignorant self-righteous prick.

If the NCAA does indeed pull events from the states with laws and proposed bills protecting female sports, then a comprehensive list of the stupid, gutless pencil pushers who ring that death knell should be logged and noted.

For what? What purpose will logging and noting the board of governors do?

Currently, the SEC benefits more from being in the NCAA than the NCAA benefits from having the SEC. Its a mutually beneficial relationship, but one party is more heavily reliant right now.

Its a message board- all anyone does here is voice their opinions. What the 17 do you expect from a message board?

I post a lot about basketball, a good bit about football, and almost none on baseball. Then if an OT interests me, Ill post.
^ that basically describes 80% of posters here- they predominantly post about one or two sports and chime in on OT.

Sucks that you are upset about this.

In this thread, you inferred what the OP was trying to say by posting a list of the NCAA board members

You diminished his supposed concern.

And then you tried to blast every southerner who holds this same assumed opinion.

You sir, are a douche. This is typically how you respond to differing opinions in every semi political thread. It’s your schtick.

I asked what the point was, I identified that the OP didnt offer up any context even though they could have, and I guessed at the reason for posting. I then commented on my guessed reason.
Preacher also guessed at the reason for posting.

These people who cower in fear of reprisal from the cancel mob should be noted as they are joining the masses of history's spineless cowards to stand against these economic terrorists for what is right.

History is repeating itself and these jokers are taking no note of what is coming. I said it to you last year about this time when statues were being torn down and business were being burned. This slope has become the slippery abyss I said was coming, but you kept on saying the brakes would be applied when needed. Now here we are. We just can't continue as a society in this new culture we're living in right now.

Up is down
Good is bad
Wrong is right
Gender is fluid

No one is proposing persecution for trans people. But protection, especially for women's rights and women's sports is needed because the greedy and unscrupulous will abuse these new "rights". Dont forget this exchange, glfr.
