Did the Cardinals make some moves in the off season that are making you say this? I am a Cardinals fan too, but I don't follow their off season trades and such a whole lot.

They traded for arguably the best 3B in baseball in Nolan Arenado.

As Frank Drebin pointed out, they got Arenado for basically a borderline 5th starting pitcher and a sack of taters, and not the long ball tater variety. AND The Rockies are eating $50 million of Arenado’s salary.

That said, with Hudson out for the year, we have a stud young Ace and the old warhorse Waino who seems to ha e found the fountain of youth followed by 3 ? ? ?’s. Not sure if Ponce de Leon aided in Wainwright’s search for said fountain while competing for one of those spots.

Our bullpen should be deep and filthy, it’ll hafta be that and then some if a couple someones doesn’t grab those spots and run with them. Based on that hurdle my prediction was made with my heart as opposed to my head. But I think we will get much better production from the OF than most procrastinators are saying.
