We built it before we earned it. This entire fan base acts like we are something we aren’t. We have less to hang our hat on than half of the teams in the SEC. Even coastal Carolina.

"Fans" like you don't deserve it, but our fanbase in general deserve it, and they are the reason it was built.

I once played in a pro am with a guy who had top 5 finishes in the Masters, US Open and the PGA in his career. He probably was 15 shots better than me that day. If only I had had that will to win.

Uh, they have these things called box scores that, among many other things, tell you how many earned runs (that means runs scored without the assistance of errors and passed balls) were given up. Yesterday's box score shows that 10 of their 11 runs were earned. We scored five runs. 10 - 5 still equals a loss, so no- errors did not cost us the game.

You are referring to the three run homer they hit after this unofficial error, I assume. Well, even if that unofficial error had not occurred, they still win by 2 runs (taking the one official unearned run out).

I will not argue against that being a game changer. But you cannot assume we would have won the game without that three way cluster 17. Third baseman should have caught that one, I think.

Im not assuming it but catch a routine fly to center, catch that popup and get one more strike in the 4th today and its a different weekend possibly. Not denying we have real issues at the plate.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the drop in center field. If we make that one and the other one, we have a real good chance to win.

What no one is addressing is the scholarship disparities affecting recruiting vs many other schools we compete against. Many schools have lottery tuition for their instate players and bundle their 11.7 for select out of state players and Vandy is another story. Many sources say OM uses their Lucky Day scholars for instate baseball players and bundle for selects. Until we improve our scholarship offerings we will recruit behind Vandy and others.

If OM or Arkansas have any scholarship advantages over us (and I don't know that they do) then it is totally on us. They play under the same rules we do. Now some of the other SEC schools in other states definitely have advantages over us. And Vandy has advantages over everyone.

Which brings us to the next group that has to step up. The coaches. They need to recruit better. They knew Foscue and Westburg would be gone this year and didn’t replace them. And Dubrule doesn’t count. It’s not fair for these guys to have to compete with teams like Arkansas. Blame that on coaches.
