I guess I need pointers on how to not "pay attention". I mean, I know you can just not watch the games, but how do you ignore win/loss record? That is just not in my DNA. Sometimes I wish it was.

The 2013 team that played for the title lost four straight series at one point, including one to Central Arkansas and one to a Kentucky team that didn’t make a regional.

Nobody will remember what we did in March, only what we do in June. It’s the reason why the 2018 team that had a .500 league record is so revered and the 2016 team that won the league is mostly remembered for losing to Arizona at home.

Yep. I was at those two games. Two one run losses I think, with Dalbach pitching the game of his life in the first one. We really should have been in Omaha that year.
