was nothing short of abysmal. In every way you can look at it. Mobile Bay has a better approach at the keyboard than we had at the plate tonight. Let that sink in.

Hopefully tomorrow we come back out with a confident and thoughtful approach.

I think anyone who is holding their breath waiting for us to magically turn into the 2016 or 2019 teams offensively is going to be disappointed. We’ll be up and down at the plate with this group, this won’t be our last bad hitting game and we’ll also have games where we look much better than this (see last Friday at LSU).

Our bread and butter is going to be low scoring pitchers duels, I don’t really expect that to change.

You seem to have a case of the drunktarded. Go to bed.

Arkansas got beat 16-1 by bama a week ago. **** happens in baseball. You guys are like chicken little every time we lose a baseball game.

That doesn’t change the fact that we had an abysmal approach at the plate tonight.

I guess. To be honest, I’m not even too sure what it means to have a plate approach. I feel confident our plate approach was to try to get on base. We drew some walks early but once Arkansas got ahead they just pounded the zone and we couldn’t get anything to fall for a hit. We are going to be have the same approach every game

The softball team sees your “abysmal”.....

......and raises you a “scored ONE run in 7 conference games”!

How does Cohen still have a job?

Been that way all year. We’ve been weak at plate from day 1 against any picture that’s decent. Juniors and Seniors seem to have regressed significantly and the top of the lineup as produced very very sporadically all year.

We take too many first strikes. We stay in negative counts. Lemonis likes us taking too many pitches.

Been an overall very disappointing academic year of MSU sports for sure. If our offense doesn't improve I'm afraid even baseball is going to be in the disappointing category before its over.

Because it has nothing to do with approach. These guys have the scouting report. The problem is plain and simple- we cant barrel up the strike 1/2 FB. Doesnt matter if we are working the count or not. And yes we live in 2 strike counts bc sometimes we just foul the hittable FB. Lemo said as much postgame. He said we arent hitting the FB. “Too many foul balls”.
