Oof, this is like we are 2 steps behind on both sides of the floor. They are quicker and stronger so far...and shooting well too.
They look much better than us, and we also are committing unforced errors too. It's like we are scared/tight/anxious.
It's gonna be a long day.
Bama too much fire power for us. I’ll enjoy the win from yesterday and hope for a new coach after today.
I've been patient with this team, but the TOs are really grinding on me. We should be making some progress in this area. I don't know what the solution is to this problem, but howland has to figure it out before next season.
They just need to stay within striking distance in the first 30 minutes.

They are really letting these players play physical in this game and it is benefitting Bama and hurting us. We rely too much on our guards to make plays off the dribble and their physicality takes us out of that and forces turnovers.
I agree but that one was small change. And right after the comment I made about the officials letting the guys play.
This is the way I expected Alabama to start the game. Eventually they will cool off if we can just keep trying to play our game and eventually pull back into it that's the only chance we have. Otherwise we get to wait till next year.
To your point, though, we are a really dumb team defensively. We don't rotate and help fast enough, and we leave our feet on pump fakes almost once every possession. On that particular play, Tolu left his feet on a pump fake allowing dribble penetration and Matthews stepped down to help, so they kicked out to a shooter and Matthews came back out toward the shooter and tapped his hand on the shot follow through. Just really poor all around.
And I hate to keep picking on Post but he is terrible on both ends of the floor. He's a juco player at best.

and the refes are not calling fouls on them.

If they beat State in Baseball it will be time to worry. Otherwise, this is not unexpected. And why should it be?
They are reaching, grabbing, slapping and playing physical on defense and we cannot handle it.

That is exactly what I was thinking. He needs to either learn to control the ball or let someone else do it.
Who else would you have handle the ball? Only Molinar and Devon are good ball handlers.
