There better be

New EO upcoming. Looks like significant changes in current gathering restrictions.

This outside restriction horseshit needs to ease up. Covid isn't being spread at outdoor sporting events. Don't get within spitting distance and you're good.

I heard the tickets on the first few rows have “Warning! In the event of rain, your seats are designated as a Splash Zone Area. The University of Mississippi Athletics Department will not be responsible for dry cleaning your red linen shorts, powder blue shirts, bow ties, and penny loafers. Hobby Lobby!”

He's hell bent that vaccines take decades to develop.

You’ve been watching the news too much. Virologists aren’t really concerned.

Which used to be the case. Like anything else...things change. New tech. Better execution. This mRNA stuff has been in the makings for a while. Shouldn't be surprising that it's working out well thus far. I guess we could all be growing extra legs or arms one day - or suddenly start ditching iPads for Microsoft Surfaces, but so far the numbers are crazy.

There's about 175k people in randomized trials among the currently or likely to be approved vaccines. ZERO hospitalizations from that group who received the recommended dosage/schedule. Incredible. There are real world instances of hospitalizations after vaccination, however they appear to be occurring before second dose or shortly after initial dose. Very important to have that second dose and a bit of time to get that super high efficacy that we are seeing. It's huge that the J&J vaccine is about to be rolled out in top of Pfizer/Moderna. Gives less incentive to lean on a single dose of the vaccines designed to have a booster for full efficacy - which seemed to be gaining traction recently.

I’d also point out for Mr Hot Take that it’s a variant...not a strain.

And I agree it’s huge to get the J&J vaccine rolled out. I really think by midsummer we are going to be sitting pretty with a little bump in cases in the fall but nothing like we’ve seen already.

Oxford was busy Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised if they sold over the 25%.

I assume they figured some of the sold 25% wouldn't show with the weather. If they did show, OM didn't care if they were over the 25%.. Who is counting anyway?

They're claiming 2.7k to our 2.4k. How does that work with the 25% rule? Doesn't the Dude hold more than theirs?

Yeah I wondered about that, too. I’m not really sure how we can factor in the outfield. The Dude definitely holds more, either way you slice it.

My thing is, who’s enforcing this? Like is anyone actually counting and making sure it’s only 25%? I expect it to get raised to 50% this week and both schools can get a little more creative. Hey, we learned a lot about how to fix drainage issues on our field from you guys, maybe we can teach y’all how to defraud the government!

Did y’all see any of A&M’s football games this year? They had 50K people in a 100K stadium and claimed it was 25%. Their math must be as different as their traditions.

At A&M, if you’re holding the testicles of the person standing beside you, y’all only count as one person. They were way below the 25% limit.

Exactly. Which is why I think it's a very smart idea to have some tickets at window for sale on gameday.

If the crowd looks thin inside, open the window and sell to walk ups. If you happen to go over a few hundred..... nobody is showing up from Jackson to shut things down.
