This team is incapable of getting off a clean shot against a decent defensive team. The dribble around at the top of the key and pass it around a few times outside the 3 point line isn’t fooling anybody. The only inside touches we get is off a rebound.

You can throw any stat out you want but we're one of the slowest teams in the country on offense and we turn it over at a high rate per offensive position. Ranked 337th out of 347 teams on 3pt FG attempts per game. Howland wants his team playing strong half court defense and slow as snail offense that tries to play through a big man. That's not the way the game has evolved.

And not to mention, its terrible for creating fan excitement

I agree our pace is slow and I trust your 3pt stat is accurate. All I was saying is that if we were shooting our average, at that point in the game we would be tied. Maybe we would be up actually, since Bama would have less fast break points.

Offensive possessions down the stretch were horrible. Really bad decisions and none of our playmakers got a chance to take a shot.

Yes, I do know that. But in his previous 10 years there, they played a slow paced methodical offense. And in his six years here, it’s mostly been a slow paced methodical offense. That’s the way he coaches offense. One year out of 15 is just an outlier.
