This almighty coach Bc jake Mangum lead us to Omaha. Keep in mind we hired a middle tier Big 10 coach when everyone else told Cohen not no but he’ll!!

How the heck is this cluster on Lemonis? ****. There are 1A high school players who could outhit this bunch right now. Oh. They will pull together in time to go 13-17 SEC and sneak into the tourney as a 2 seed in BF Egypt. And then if they make a little noise, everyone will say “That’s Baseball!” BS. Nothing I have seen since Monday has remotely resembled baseball at the level State fans expect. But this ain’t coaching. These guys are getting too much tang like Nook Lalooshe.

Henderson took us to Omaha and was fired. This is what happens when you pull crap like that.

Is that the reason they hit the Top 10 ten teams last weekend so well?

It's a ****** weekend sandwich and it's early. Have a drink brother.

Perhaps the coach should coach them on how to hit a baseball. Just a thought.

Did they? Or did they get outstanding pitching, decent defense and scratched together some 1 and 2 run innings wrapped by some weak innings? And that 5 inning 9th last Monday. Go check how that inning played out. Winning is the most important thing but having a couple of games handed to you is not a recipe for long term success. We need mean guys who try to break the ball and hit line drives past the pitchers ears. That will tighten up their little sphincter. 😎

Scoring only counts when accompanied with the loud pinging of the bat or else it's not manly enough and shouldn't count.

Got it.

I figured you were experienced enough with college baseball to remember that pitching usually dominates early and few players are hitting the ball in mid-season form. On top of that our best pitchers are not all 100%.

I'll leave you be.

If it’s as simple as that wouldn’t every team be able to hit?

Well my understanding is our last 3 recruiting classes were ranked 17, 8 and 10. Usually this kind of players learn how to hit when they are 13, 14, 15 and gain the knowledge to read pitches in their Junior and Senior HS years.

Not sure how Tulane recruiting classes ranked during the same period, but I don’t think they should be better than State.

One thing I do know. The youth baseball talent from Slidell to Lake Charles and south of there is better than any training youth in Mississippi get. But most of our players arent from Mississippi any more. Maybe we need to recruit Desoto, Rankin, Forrest, Lamar, and Harrison Counties better than we do. And then try to steal a few Cajuns from south La.

It's not Lemonhead or Leonitis or whatever you want to call him. It's 17n baseball.

We got good players. They'll figure it out and our chances of ending up in Omaha are as good as anyone in college baseball. We're not going undefeated in baseball. We will lose 12 or more games and a few of them will be to teams we probably shoulda beaten. That's baseball...

Baseball doesn't have a clock. You know why? Cause it ain't over til it's over.

Again, maybe you just don't possess the testicular fortitude to follow this sport.

How can we have such a great baseball fanbase and also have a terrible one at the same time?

Even more important regarding baseball... just don’t post stuff like this early in the season. Way too many examples of teams starting slow and finishing good or staring hot and finishing poorly. Baseball is not a sprint and each individual game does not matter so much.

This is sad to say but I honestly believe some of you are so invested in this “John Cohen single handily destroyed all Mississippi State Athletics” narrative that you actually get a bigger dopamine rush when you say/type it than you do when State actually wins.

You accomplish what Lemonis did at a Big 10 school,

you are worth a look. He made noise in the post season.

Not even sure the Big 10 really plays baseball.

That's was what I saw in him, well before he became our coach.

Never judge baseball early in the game or too early in the season. What matters most is getting hot later in the season and finishing strong and figure things out for tournament style play. Win enough during regular season to get a high seed

We have one of the best chances on paper to win a Natty. Pitchers gotta pitch, and our Ofeense will figure it out. We have more very good pitchers than we’ve ever had.
