I live in Shreveport. It’s terrible here still. They are still closing I20 at night. I220 is still completely closed. Find another way

We came that way yesterday, and I 100% agree. You need a 4x4 and take Hwy 80 where you can. We left I-20 after Monroe and went back roads to Homer and came back to I-20 at Greenwood. Got stuck again and after an hour I took the shoulder back up the exit to Hwy 80 behind Loves travel stop. Road there was horrible, but after 5 or so miles we were able to get back on I-20 at Wascom. Road was clear to Dallas. 15hr adventure, but we are here.

Some of our friends had 2 wheel drive and didn’t want to chance the “off road” option. They got stuck and had to spend the night on I-20.

We slept in the truck on i-20 as well Sunday night. Was an experience i’ll never forget and i’ve found new respect for that type of travel. At least we made the game and have a story to tell.
