**SPOILER ALERT**

Not positive, but I think the same people who wrote the last episode of Game of Thrones wrote this last episode. What a lazy ending to what was leading up to a good ending. Only they wanted to end it full circle? Very disappointed.

How should it have ended?

The way the show played out, it shows that lies and dishonesty lead to tragedy all around. All families were torn apart by lies and dishonesty- extramarital affair, being a banger, being a mobster, sending someone to prison who is innocent- all avoidable with truth and honesty.

It was certainly a shocking ending!
But really, how should it have ended? I would like to hear better endings as I am not creative enough to see past what was produced.

I didn't love or hate it. Wanted more but sort of see what they did. Definitely not as many dragons as game of thrones though.

You’re not wrong, I think something happening to the judge for protecting his son would have tied things up better.

An idea with a side of irony would have been the judge going down for the coverup leaving Baxter to put out an order for him not to be harmed in prison by some ppl that he helped put away because his daughter’s appeal to him to protect her boyfriend’s dad.

You could work a season 2 into that scenario, hard to envision the way it ended. Just an idea...

I saw somewhere that it was only intended to be a 10 episode, 1 season run.

It satisfied the main storyline - no matter how hard the judge tried, he couldn’t save his son. I would’ve liked to see more, but I’m not overly disappointed. It was a good show.

It was entertaining for what it was and being set in NOLA only added to it.
I’ve stayed at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel several times over the years.

It should have ended with Michael rigging up an M60 on a sprinkler head type turret device that he could have parked outside the hotel and operated remotely from his key fob. Then, he manipulates his way inside (instead of eugene) and tackles his son to the ground. Then he hits the switch and kills all the baxters.

Duh.

Not too sorry that his idiot *** kid got it, though. What a douche.

I thought it was ok. Kind of a never ending circle. Which is life. It was a little poetic justice. The one that started it was taken out by someone who didn’t mean to take him out but had lost most of his family because of the guy he took out.

They never did really find out who killed the mother did they? I was thinking it was going to tie back to the gang or the crime family in some way and Michael was going to find out about it.

Couldn’t believe he wasn’t tracking his son more after all that crap to start with and not knowing who his son was spending time with

Your Honor had very good directing and production quality, but poor writing I thought.

Brian Cranston is a master at his roles and did well. But sometimes he didn't have a lot to work with script wise.

Did anyone really believe that this socially awkward teen who struggles to put together a sentence was able to have a relationship with the cute photography teacher? That was really the most unrealistic thing about the whole series.

And the irony or coincidental fact that the kid that was pinned to steal the car happened to be the son of the lady that Judge kept out of jail just the day before. What are the chances?

Runaway Jury is a good movie set in New Orleans. The book was set in Biloxi and about cigarettes but they changed locales and made it about guns.

To explore your question about the kid landing the gorgeous teacher, let me submit a question (this has nothing to do with the show):

Do you consider these hottie female teachers that score with students predators, even though it seems like an absolute fantasy for high school boys to bang them? I have 2 friends that did this, and it messed them both up, big time. I had another friend whose mom was banging multiple friends of his in high school. The domino effect of damage was terrible.

I'm genuinely asking what you think because the same thing crossed my mind watching the show. I had a crush on a teacher in high school. I showed her extra attention, and she fed off of it. She also had a reputation. I just think back on what it may have done to me if she had pursued me and put it on me. I imagine I would have some wires crossed.

that is a good movie!

Not New Orleans but south louisiana, but True Detective season 1 is still one of my favorite season of a show. love the setting.

Do hot teachers set out to be predators? Maybe some. Some probably just make terrible choices and ruin lives by mistake.

Looking back, would you have 'taken the bait' if she'd given you an opening? Glad you avoided it.

any teacher that does anything with a student is a predator. no matter the age. they are still in the position of authority no matter the age difference. they are taking advantage of a child. change the scenario to a male teacher and female student? would you still think the same? if you had a 17 year old daughter and she had a relationship with her 22-23 year old teacher would you be ok with that? do think he is just making a mistake?

I would not have minded being the "victim" of a hot "predator" teacher back when I was in high school/college. But seriously, it is interesting the double standard that exists for women when it comes to that sort of thing. I guess because people just assume that it is more likely to be consensual when it is a female "predator" and a male "victim".

I said I don't think they all set out to be predators. Like they are on the prowl hungrily looking for their prey. But regardless of original intent, the follow through of those choices is a gross and reprehensible action no matter the genders of the student/teacher. It's definitely not okay. Never meant for it to come across as such.

I can't know for sure, but I was certainly a naive and vulnerable 16 year old. If it had "gone there," I imagine it could have messed me up.

I would have dove right in head first if I had the chance.

But I never once had a hot teacher.

Slight hijack here: Friend of mine was totally in love with one of his teachers. One day at school he was in her class, and she asked him to go to her closeby house and get a notebook she had forgotten to bring. He went to her house, found her notebook and also the drawer where she kept her underwear. Rummaged through it then went into her bathroom and gave himself a quick self-pleasuring. Took the book to her and smiled the rest of the day.

Depends on what you mean by predator. A 40 year old teacher and a 17 year old student, yea, probably a predator. A 23 year old teacher and a 17 year old? Definitely worthy of losing your license and a criminal record, but I'm not sure they're a predator and not sure they should be considered a felony sex offender. If the 17 year old wasn't their student, it wouldn't even be illegal. I mean, it's really bad, but I'm not sure say, a 23 year old male failing to rebuff the advances of a 17 year old that is physically mature is somebody that's likely to be a problem and should have their life ruined. Seems like losing eligibility to be a teacher or other position of trust or authorities to minors, plus a misdemeanor that will show up on a background check that accurately reflects the actions (i.e., Breach of Fiduciary Duty to Minor or something instead of sexual battery) would be sufficient to protect society's interests? Maybe throw in a free assault and battery for the child's parents to engage in against the offender?
