OT Rentals in Starkville

A family member of mine is looking for a place to rent in Starkville while she attends school there. She has two roommates. Looking for a safe,clean house in a good area for under $500 a month per room. If anyone has any suggestions or information to find a trustworthy landlord I'd appreciate the help.

Might at least look at College View. This is the big *** apt complex north of the coliseum on College View Dr. It's a public private partnership between the university and some big *** out-of-state property developer. It's more than $500/mo per kid, but the utilities are included. The amenities are nice. The apts themselves are super nice. 4 rooms per, washer-dryer in the unit, each kid has their own room and bathroom, full kitchen. Shuttle runs. At the end of the day, not having to fool with 17n utility **** is pretty huge. But here's the best part: Each kid (and guarantor) is responsible for their own prorata rent amount and is not jointly/severally liable for the rent obligation of any other tenant in the apt. There's a **** ton of value in the convenience they have set up.

I only looked at the house listings for this and am only commenting on ones in their budget that would be safe and convenient:

On Linden Circ: Nice residential neighborhood and pretty convenient to everything.

Asbury park: Might seem a ways out but there are at least two large apartment complexes down that way. It is on other side of town from University though. Is a mix of rentals and owners in there. They do have a community pool. No idea how well is maintained.

Overstreet Drive: I would feel comfortable in that one as a female. I know people in that area. The farther you get North of Critz the more iffy but I would not worry on that street at all. Great convenience to campus and downtown.

I would go for the Overstreet Drive one every time. Being close to campus and downtown for a college student? Doesn't get much better location wise.

I wouldn't look at anything down Blackjack. It's a terrible road and since they are reworking the whole thing it is going to be a mess for a long time.

Tabor is excellent. They have rental houses that are not shown on their website that are in that price range. Ask for Heather Hudson.

This. And once they finish the connector road to University Drive, will be prime location for walking to and from the Cotton District
