Savannah is a great city if you are ok with walking. Don't stay on Riverstreet, but find a B&B or AirBnB in the Historic District. Don't have any particular food recommendations, the are a lot of great restaurants - but stay away from chains and tourist traps like The Pirate House. Lots of historic sites nearby if you like those.
We went for our anniversary several years ago. Great city but be prepared to walk.

If it’s open to the public be sure to go check out the Cathedral there. One of the oldest in the US with some incredible stained glass all over it.
Tybee Island is a neat place not far from Savannah.

Did anniversary there several years ago. We stayed at Homewood Suites on the river. Not a B&B, but was nice and affordable. It let us have more money for food, etc... Got to sit on the balcony and watch boats on the river.

Never been, but I keep a pretty close eye on the restaurant scene, particularly around the Southeast. I hear good things about The Grey

There are two places I would recommend on River St
The Cotton Sail Hotel and The Bohemian by Marriott.
Do look into B&B’s and there are several- one being the Eliza Thompson House that I have stayed at and would recommend.
For dinner I would say Old Pink House or better yet, go below to The Tavern for a very cool old bar that serves dinner and is basically the same menu served upstairs.
For Italian I would try LaScala but it’s not close to the Historic District but more in the residential area but worth the Uber ride.
Treylor Park is pretty eclectic but good too.
Pre or post dinner drinks would be at Top Deck at the Cotton Sail or Peregrine rooftop bar.
For Brunch or Lunch - The Grove. Has rooftop seating also if it’s not 90*
Mid-day Bloody Mary’s at Six Pence Pub or just sit out front on the sidewalk in front of the old Pub and have some drinks and people watch.
Leopold’s Ice Cream is the oldest ice cream shop in GA I believe and is good.
For breakfast try Funky Brunch Cafe or for coffee - Bitty and Beau’s
Rent bikes and explore the Historic District.
Ride around and see all of the Squares in town - take a few minutes to stop and walk thru the ones y’all like the best.

I wish I could find someone who would go with me to nice places like those. Seems like where I am at all the women I meat would prefer golden coral.

Second the recommendation on the Grey. Also recommend the Back in the Day Bakery and Huc a Poo on Tybee Island
Fort Pulaski on the way to tybee is worth a stop really neat history, first place rifled cannon barrels were used during the civil war. Of you can make one of the free guided tours it's worth it. Tybee is neat little beach town but but the water is atlantic so don't expect blue water. Agree with above statements about Savannah expect to walk, but a beautiful city.
We toured the house of the Garden of Good and Evil. Having read the book it was interesting.
The cathedral is interesting but be sure to take off your cap when entering. I got rebuked for not doing so by the lady there. I would also suggest taking the boat ride there.
Agree with this post. Look up Maté Factor if you need a breakfast or lunch sandwich place. It’s not in the touristy part, but this place was damn good. Circa 1875 is a good French bistro if you like that sorta meal.

Do the cheesy tour bus thing. You can get on one, get off at any stop to see something specific like the cathedral and other places, then catch the next bus to continue the tour.
We ate lunch at Mrs Wilkes birding house. Part of it is sitting family style around a table with strangers and enjoying the conversation.
Drove out to Tybee island. Coming back, we passed Nine Line and I still regret not being able to make it back to their store.
