Shorted stocks are expected to explode today after yesterday’s restrictions on trading.
Going to be interesting to watch and trade.
I think there will be much volatility today which could cause the markets to close.
It’s coming. Wallstreetbets

Bought a tiny bit of AMC yesterday, just so I’d feel like I was participating.

Short term win for the poorz. The trading rules will be "fixed" (rigged) soon so that the proletariat get back in their place. BET on it.

When I saw all the Congress Critters say they're going to create legislation for this, I thought "It's a good thing Wall Street and the Hedge Funds don't hire lobbyists to help them write the bills.

Yep. They will trot out a few of the fools that bet the house and went bankrupt on this and then 'protect" us by restricting retail trade.

How is this even legal for a brokerage to just arbitrarily do?

I asked a friend of mine this. This friend runs a fund and really knows the stock game well.

Buried in all the documents you sign when you sign up to those apps, is language that allows them to do basically whatever they want. He tried to do a straddle (normal 25% for stuff like this) on GME this week and after the bet was placed, his brokerage told him the margin requirement for GME moved to 450%. Thy didn’t cancel his straddle... they’re just going to rake him over the coals after moving the goalposts after the kick was in the air. And there isn’t jack **** he can do about it.

Read the brokerage agreement fine print. That same fine print, by the way, contains mandatory arbitration provisions that will prevent any attempt to get these asshats in front of a jury.
