Kiffin at Tennessee redux?

Local Nashville sports radio and press are posing a Kiffin return to Tennessee as a legitimate possibility. Consensus seems to be it would be a great move for Tennessee, even if it might not be a great one for Kiffin's reputation. I find it hard to believe they would ever have him back, given the way he left. I also have to believe he has some shred of self-respect left in him and a desire to shed his image as a football butterfly, sipping nectar as he flits from flower to flower.

If they are OK with Freeze, how could they have a problem with Kiffin. Same person, but lane is more like able and honest.

I know one thing that's not possible if he wants to last longer than a couple of months in the AD job. And that's Lane Kiffin to Tennessee.

The new AD is the brother of AD that Kiffin coached at before OM. Just saying, in today's times, hell anything can and will happen. I would be a little surprised if Tn would take him back, but then again, iffy!

When you're talking about two dudes, and the more honest and likeable of the two is Lane Freaking Kiffin, you know the other dude's got serious issues.

I think that Tom Herman would be a good choice. He would still be able to say UT and he is used to orange (just a better shade).

There is some steam from this rumor train. I live in TN and there seems to be interest from their side. According to some United Trash fans.

The ones who will actually make the hire aren't OK with Freeze. TN is under NCAA investigation. They sure don't want more attention from the NCAA and the SEC office would not be thrilled with that move either. Fulmer will probably have a key role in the hire whether it is directly or indirectly.
