The other SEC teams have flipped the script on us. They play relentless defense and we play like they did. Here's my fearless production for our remaining games:

I don’t know, but I do have a weird suspicion that this will play out very similarly to the Mullen scenario. We’ve got basically this season to point at Texas and say... see, haha, Vic’s losing by 40 too.

By year 3 and possibly even next year, Texas is going to contending for titles while we, well...aren’t what we were before. We’re going to find out pretty soon how much of the fanbase is only willing to pack the Hump when we’re chasing titles

I think we are going to find out once again, that changing the seating in the hump to benefit Corporate sponsors is a short term gain and long term atmosphere killer. But it worked so well for men’s basketball, I understand trying it in women’s **

Howland has been given an opportunity to reclaim the fanbase from the women's program.

The fan support we are getting right now with pandemic restrictions on will be the highest of NMP's tenure.

I think we will do enough to make the tournament but only get in as a 7 or 8 seed. Maybe win our first game and then get smoked by a 1 or 2 seed in the second round. Which would be a big underachievement for this team given that they have Elite 8 or Final Four potential.

By that time, and probably well before then, if the team continues on the road they're on, nobody will care, just like they didn't care until Vic started producing top-level teams.

Sadly, I don't see either team making the field of 66 at this point. After watching multiple games by both teams they don't deserve it IMHO. Neither one plays good defense and neither excels on offense. We have two middle of the road SEC teams which translates to enjoy either NIT bid or staying at home.

We became a WBB school with Vic and now it's going to Hell in a Handbasket very quickly- Bad hire by Cohen .

Historically, once an elite coach leaves, the program goes down. This is true of all sports, men's and women's. It would be extremely rare for any AD to hire a followup coach that could maintain the success.
