Well yea, when all the elite college players are mostly concentrated in 7 or 8 programs (because they get most all the elite HS recruits), when 2 of those play each other it makes for pretty good quality of football.

When they showed the starters, there were an awful lot of them from Alabama towns.

Does it matter who won? Why waste valuable time watching a college "NFL game". Just go watch the real thing.

Absolutely false. Grand total of 3 Alabama starters from the state of AL. Most of their guys were from Florida and Louisiana, with others sprinkled in. Najee Harris is from California. Whole defensive secondary is from Florida.

They are the damn national all star team. Nothing about their personnel is 'from Alabama'.

Who opted out of watching this game. This is incredible football.

I can’t imagine thinking that was a good game to watch unless you’re a Bama fan. It was a blowout from start to finish. I turned it to a pay per view movie in the 3rd quarter. If you are being sarcastic I apologize.

I didn’t watch. I love football, but I’m sick of the system that allows the same teams to make the playoffs each year. Even in the NFL they have a plan to help level things out, ie, the draft. In college football it is the same song and dance each year. I’d rather see State play Slippery Rock than watch Alabama, etal, play in the championship series.

That's all I watched. Even though the score was close then, I never thought for a minute that OSU would be able to hang with Bama for the whole game. From the score, sounds like the last 40 minutes went down about how I figured it would.

NFL also intentionally unbalances schedules to try and make the winners schedules more difficult than the teams that has losing records.

Why? I 17'n hate Bama. Them winning another NC makes it hard for us not better and I 17'n hate OSU. I pretty much hate everyone not us

What Saban has done is exceptional. Is it really a huge overall parity problem, or is it Saban fatigue? It looks to me like mostly Alabama vs the rest of college football. I mean you have Clemson as a bit of an upstart in the recent past, and you see the typical blue bloods getting all the love from the playoffs, but they've always gotten that. Notre Dame is noteworthy as they keep getting put back in and absolutely don't belong there. It seems that there is some inherent bias towards blue blood programs that is at least a big percentage of the issue. I mean time and again, with the exception of Alabama, these programs have proven that they aren't necessarily better than all the others out there, they are just better at getting an invitation to play on a big stage.

If anything, I think it speaks to the need for an expanded playoff. While Saban is around, might the end result be the same? Yes. But I bet we would at least get to see some fresh matchups.

Just give Alabama the NC trophy at the beginning of the season

Recruiting is the lifeblood of any sport. Alabama has won that 7 years in a row so . . .

I have said it before, but make the Athletics budgets the same for all 75 P5 teams and reduce scholarships to 75, with 20 signees each year max.

I fell asleep around the 35-17 mark. The game was really fun to watch, for what I saw of it.

I’m a fan of football. I stand by that. I don’t care who is playing, I enjoy football and not as invested as some of you.

I’ll always pull for State before anyone but I’ll be damned if I don’t just enjoy a daggum game in a year where we didn’t even think we’d have any.
