I have limited my usage of Twitter in the last few weeks and likely to quit (soon). Just wanted to ask the board my suspicions.

I live in New Orleans and enjoy the Michael Berry Show on 99.5 WRNO, and I tend to see what he’s tweeted. I looked at his account today and see his last tweet was from April 2019. This account tweets a dozen times daily... so am I to assume he’s been silenced?

Lots of conservatives have been locked out of Twitter and other social media. The first ammendment is null and void

I’m thankful they are equally silencing all dicks, not just conservative ones. Remember when all the liberal idiots were being silenced by big tech during the rioting in 2020?

I hope your visual depiction helps make the point. My telling people the First Amendment only guarantees against government infringement of the right to say what you want routinely falls on deaf ears.

How doe this flow Sheet change taking 230 into consideration- I don’t know but curious

It doesn’t change anything. It’s similar to changing an 80 mph speed limit to 70 mph. You can still go 60 mph if you want in either case. They can already censor or delete whatever they want. Section 230 repeal simply requires censor / deletion of illegal content, it in no way prevents anything from being censored. They are private sector companies and well within their rights to remove anything and everything they don’t like from their platforms if they so choose.

Is this a thread about a syndicated radio host being "silenced" and deprived of his first amendment rights because a microblogging company refuses him a free service?

Six-pack is in deep doo-doo. Goat, Mutt, and that Spectre dude are going to be in front of the Supreme Court any day now.**

They can just make their own platform right? Oh wait they tried that and Apple banned the app and Amazon pulled their web hosting. Just a free market at work.****

I’m fine with three to five unelected billionaires deciding who can use the internet and who can’t. It’s the American way!****

I’m just telling you how the Constitution works. Sounds like you want the First Amendment to be totally rewritten from what it actually says. If you want private enterprise and other third parties to be held to the same free speech infringement restrictions as the federal government, that opens up quite the can of worms indeed.

There are other hosting platforms they can go to. Maybe try to not violate their terms of service.

Just figured someone on this board could help me confirm my suspicions... wasn’t really diving into whether social media companies are breaking constitutional rights. Thanks again.
