You are OG if you got into a Miss State game at Memorial Stadium in Jackson because your mom spent 100.00 or more at Jitney Jungle. That was a lot of groceries back then.

You are OG if you never get disappointed with anything in life because pulling for MSU has taught you how to deal with disappointment.

One would think! Although it’s funny how I watched every minute of our Kentucky knowing dang well what was going to happen, yet I still couldn’t help myself from absolutely fuming after that game.

Joel’s MSU friend zone analogy was spot on. State’s good about winking at us all over the years, but just when you think you might have a shot, boom..

There was also a corrugated tin roof over those seats and the radio broadcast was done from a flat area of concrete area right behind home plate. Spring '82 I had just transferred to MSU in January and supposed to have a meeting w/ my advisor in the afternoon. I showed up at his office and he asked if I was a baseball fan and suggested we go to the game at The Dude and have our meeting there and watch so we did. One of the coldest baseball games I've ever been to, a February afternoon sitting on open wooden bleachers w/ no sun because of the tin roof. Now, at the new Dude, it also gets pretty damn cold in the outfield boxes for those night games. Wind is brutal and add those little misty rain/sleets we get that time of year and its turrible

How about if your dad got caught trying to bring crown into DWS by hiding it in an umbrella when you were about 10 years old.

You remember the song "Bulldog Blitz" being a radio favorite for a while and you also remember USM countering with "Eagle Fever". Those were some dark days in radio.

You're a MSU OG if you broke your radio while celebrating as Artie Cosby made a 52 yard field goal to beat Memphis State.

You're a MSU OG if you ever played basketball with Jerry Rice in the Tin Gym.

You're a MSU OG if you came back into the stadium after the tornado warning ended to watch the rest of the Troy State game.

You're a MSU OG if you remember the song "Bulldog Blitz."

You're a MSU OG if one of your favorite places to eat in Starkville is Perry Cafeteria.

I'm sure I could come up with more.

The coldest I have ever been at an athletic event was in the old DNF bleachers hands down. That includes football games in the rain and temps in the 20s. There is just something about being out in the open like that with temps near freezing and a 15 mph wind that just cuts through you like a knife.

What's the old song associated with MSU baseball?

I think it might have been written by a baseball player's Dad. I used to know the song but all I can remember right now is

"Proud to be a bulldog...from good 'ol MSU. When it comes to playing baseball, they/we know just what to do"

After looking it up, might have been written by Gene Morgan's dad.

As Meatloaf would say "2 out of 3 ain't bad." Growing up in GA prior to the internet/SEC Network it was pretty difficult to keep up with the Diamond Dawgs. Dad's Dawgs Bite subscription, at least a half week later, was all I had.

You’re an MSU OG if you were one of 100’s of students staying in the dorms and ran out to the balcony of 9 Floor Suttle or 7 floor Hamlin and a host of other dorm balconies and rang your cowbell after listening to Jack Cristil’s call of the Rockey Felker led 98 yard TD Drive and then winning 2 point conversion against Memphis State in Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.

OG's know the pig trail to John's Grocery blindfolded

Made a late run in my buddy's Bronco II to replenish a floating keg. Damn near rolled that Ford on the way back. Every turn we took the new full keg would roll to that side of the truck and it felt like we were up on 2 wheels. RIP, Heath. You were a crazy sumbitch.

We'd sign up to walk around selling cokes the first half, then find a seat for the second half with money in our pocket. They would melt wax paper on top of the tray of paper cups full of coke. Don't be the idiot who grabbed a tray of sprite, you'd be walking around an hour without moving that lot. Cooooooooke
