Sincere question. Explain to me how printing money helps Bitcoin.
I’ve tried to wrap my head around this but I’m evidently not intelligent enough to get it.
Limited by who? The people who invented it out of thin air won’t invent anymore? Serious question. What prevents them from making more?my understanding is that the number of bitcoins are limited while the govt can continue to generate money out of thin air.
Also, how can we be certain the supply is fixed? Why can't there be bitcoin v2, etc.

An nfl player asking to be paid in Bitcoin doesn’t make me feel better abt it.
Most nfl players aren’t real good with money.
my understanding is that the number of bitcoins are limited while the govt can continue to generate money out of thin air. this eventually leads to out of control inflation. there seems to be a run on bitcoin from institutions as a hedge against inflation. in the past, they went in to gold but lately gold has been flat and cryptos are rocketing.
But PayPal is dollar for dollar.
I put on $20. I get out $20.
Bitcoin isn’t.
I could put in $20 and get out $5000 or $1.
Please explain “mining bitcoins”
my research says yes even at these prices considering the recent and future printed money
ive been on the fence but have started taking a position after seeing an NFL player wanted to be paid in BTC.
That’s all Greek to me, but sounds like propaganda from Bitcoin to make it sound legitimate. Where did the first Bitcoin come from, who made it, and what prevents them from doing it again outside of their “formula” that allows for controlled increase of new bitcoins?
and can not be manipulated because its not controlled by a central authority.
Once the coins are mined thats it, you sit back and watch your bit coins skyrocket in value. Its not too late for the doubters.
On paper, its a really crazy way to conceptualize currency. People need to guess it to create it, and then it increases in value because others want it due to them wanting it so others cant have it.
There is no inherent value to bitcoin- it is the same as anything else- its worth what we decide its worth. It may skyrocket in value like you claim, or it may steadily rise. Hell, it may drop. Who the 17 knows.
If people lose interest or faith in it as a currency, then once its mined itll be worth as much as beanie babies from the 90s(its an easy comparison, even if it isnt an exact comparison).
in theory, the difference is that politicians can't manipulate it to buy votes by giving away printed money to pay for student loan debt, UBI, or straight up cash
I’ve seen this explained a hundred times, and I still don’t understand at all as to why Bitcoin is worth anything of value
