Mercari Texas Bowl Canceled

The Hogs and Frogs won't be playing.

TCU canceled due to the Vid.

That was supposed to be the prime time game.

How about they bump us from 11 to 7pm?

How about they bump us from 11 to 7pm?

That would be nice. I could at least watch then instead of being stuck at work.

Looking at the ESPN schedule, it’s such a damn mess with all the cancelled games. I’m glad some teams are still up for a contest.

For TV purposes and maybe even for weather purposes that would make sense. But it would definitely put a hardship on the travel plans for folks that are going to the game. Some may even have flights in the evening to come home (even with it being New Year's eve). I would love to see the shift myself though.

Speaking of ESPN; at this point, how do they not have some teams on stand by?

The day Bill Clark's team lost the bowl matchup in Tampa, I'd have told them to be ready to depart on 24 hours notice for a bigger payout bowl. You know that guy (and team) would've been chomping at the bit.

At this rate we might make the playoff after all
