No events or events with no people. NBA, concerts and college games were so much of what I did. I really miss that.

No handshakes and hugs too.

CBB canceled right after our midweek sweep of top 5 Texas Tech.

Yes, we had just lost Ginn, but we still looked able to compete for Omaha. WBB cancelled when we had a likely elite 8 caliber team. MBB cancelled as we were fighting for our postseason lives in the SECT (with two draft picks on our team).

Such a big what-if when it comes to all 3 seasons, plus our football season if you want to count Leach having to install his offense over Zoom.

I guess I'm lucky that I can say the worst was college baseball getting cancelled. I haven't missed a day of work yet, family has been healthy (kids got Covid but never missed a beat w/ few to no symptoms). Your #9 was "no fans in the stands", I consider myself lucky that I wasn't in Davis Wade this year. After that its mask, restaurants/bars closed, and having to watch Tater and that long greasy haired sign language interpreter all the time. For those that didn't hear, the sign language guy (Greg somebody) was arrested in Madison County for aggravated domestic violence about a month ago.

Other than what’s already mentioned:

Not seeing elderly relatives.
No foreign travel.

On the other hand, one big positive:

This atmosphere is for the most part pretty good for introverts like myself. We don’t have to be as social as we once were at work. Now it’s the extroverts who are seen as not being community minded. If only it wasn’t this way because of a pandemic.

I’ve been thinking for the past week that the world can never feel back to normal until I’m at the Dude sitting between my wife and a sweet lady named Anita.

Losing State baseball sucked, and it was really the first thing that made this mess all too real.

1 positive to come out of this --

Social Distancing is cool!!! I am pleased that people don't crowd my personal space anymore.

The fact that Trump crapped the bed in the first debate. If he had just tried a little to not be a jerk he would have easily been re-elected. He just couldn’t do it.

The fact that a man with diminished mental capacities is the president elect and his VP hates capitalism.

The fact that for one week I truly thought we were a Top 10 teams after LSU. That Arky game hit hard.

Being in Disney spring break and flying into BHM to a GHOST TOWN!!!!!

Calling my smartest friend who’s a Dr and asking if COVID was real and they started crying.

Being away from my family and friends.

The many many people that have lost their jobs.

The many many people that lost their lives to COVID although I still don’t know one without serious health issues. #comorbidity #2020word

The 20ish pounds I’ve gained due to stress and depression since this all began. Going to make some changes January 4th. There’s no reason to try until then. Too much temptation. Most of my friends and loved ones either gained 20 of lost 20 during this.

Not being able to see my grandmother in the nursing home. She passed in November and I can’t say I remember our last visit. We were able to have outdoor services.

My daddy died unexpectedly on Valentines Day.

I know.....thread killer.....but he was a Bulldog to the absolute bone. I started to post about him on here when he passed, but I just couldn’t do it. It’s been a long hard year for mama. They were married for 52 years. Imagine losing your spouse of 52 years and then a global pandemic keeps you away from much of your support network.

We still see the elderly folks, from a distance. The foreign travel thing cost Us a small boat cruise off the west coast of Scotland and seeing our son graduate from a U.K. University. . It cost HIM half of his time there. He still got the degree, even if the last half was spent at home.

That cruise sounds nice. I would have hated to miss that too.

I spent about three days on the west coast of Scotland (Ayrshire) many years ago and I’d love to return not only there but to go to other parts too.

We have done two, Mull, Skye, Canna, Jura, and the opposing mainland areas, cool stuff . This one was going North from Oban with an emphasis on the Mainland, Argyle and Wester Ross. We are booked again for August, fingers crossed.

Lots of terrible **** this year. But the one that worries me long-term is the hatred people have for those that disagree with them. It's gotten ridiculous.

Ain't that the truth. Disagreement never equated with hatred till just the last few years. Before some of you on BOTH sides start, we are ALL guilty. It HAS to stop.

I lost my job, had to move for a new job and we have no church, friends, or support network in our new location. Vaccine can't get here soon enough.
