Good. No way they should have been left out.

Didn't we play, and lose to, the Air Force Academy in the inaugural Liberty Bowl in Philadelphia?

Nope. We lost to Air Force in Memphis in 1991. It seemed like it was as cold as Philadelphia though.

That's right. NC State in 1963. Memory is fading ....

According to the Wikipedia article, attendance was 8,309.

Certainly the hottest one I've been to, early 2000s. Went to the Liberty Bowl when we played Central Fla and it was cold but nothing exceptional. The coldest one for me was the snow bowl.

That 91 game was cold and the wind never let up. Miserable night, especially with the loss.

That was in 2000. A brutal late summer into fall with temps in the 100s well into September. Cracks so big in the ground you could lose a wrench down in them.

Coldest game I ever went to was also in Memphis - 1968 Liberty Bowl - Ole Miss vs VA Tech. Bright sunshiny day, but brutally cold. Smell of whisky just wafted across the whole stadium.

Yep.... we played like crap that day against Memphis.... finally sacked that fat *** QB they had to seal the deal... The 91 Liberty Bowl was coldest I’ve been to, but I didn’t go to Snow Bowl.

A 5-year old patdog was at that game too. We had better seats than the UM chancellor because my dad's Sunday School teacher was the Lt. Governor. All I remember about it was that I was so freaking cold.

What's going to happen to that stadium now that South Alabama has a new place to play?

‘91 Liberty Bowl was cold - (Peabody later that night more than made up for the cold and L) but the KY game at home in mid 90’s when it snowed some and the um game in Oxford in early 90’s when it snowed and we L was pretty cold.
Did not go to Snow Bowl but that had to be brutal.

I was at both, Memphis 2000 was hotter than South Alabama.

Snow Bowl was cold, but there was a Kentucky game in Lexington in the late 90s that was cold too.

I had on my full stand Thinsulate and Gore Tex hunting gear bib and coat including those big super-insulated rubber boots. It was cold as heck but I was actually fairly toasty.
