I don’t think it’s necessarily a done deal but we have been considered the leader since he decommitted from Oregon. Definitely somebody we need, and JUCO’s have even more value this year since most of them have three years of eligibility.

It’s funny how perception works.. with the addition of Perkins and Anderson y’all will have 21 commits and a really nice class (once Hampton is rated). But no one will talk about it because they only pay attention to signing day. Then you throw Randy Charlton in the mix and that improves your signing class, a lot.

I understand that losing the 3 guys y’all did on signing day sucks. Believe me, I’ve been there. But y’all added a lot of talent, and have a lot of players to be really excited about.

I do find it curious why you post here so frequently, and I mean no offense. It doesn’t make sense to me, why a fan would post often on a rivals message board and be so cordial, almost self-degrading at times when it comes to his own “team”.

My only conclusion is your subconscious is maroon and your prefrontal cortex has yet to submit.

I haven’t been to nafoom in a long time but last time I went there was very little activity and the few that were posting about sports were dominated by extreme homerism. Not sure if that’s typical, but if it was, I could understand preferring a rivals board.

possibly? I’d probably just not do a sports message board, but there are ole miss fans I could have a discussion with. I’d eventually make too many snarky comments and be hated and banned, but I wouldn’t have a problem discussing sports with them.

I think we will sign Perkins if LSU or Bama doesn't swoop in. LSU worked Nabers and got him, simply because they didn't want him to sign with MSU. There's nothing we can do about home town team helping mom.

It’s likely to gauge the state of mind of their in state rivals but I’m sure most would agree that oxfordrebel22 is easily one of the most rational Ole Miss fans they’ve ever come into contact with....especially one that’s willing to have conversations on college sports forums.

There are just some folks that can have reasonable conversations all while being able to agree to disagree with some perspectives but staying respectful. I’ve only been on here a short while but it’s easy to see that oxfordrebel22 would be a tolerable Ole Miss fan to share a good conversation with over lunch and not expect to get into a fight about a stupid rivalry. Can’t say that about a lot of rebel fans I’ve come across in life.

I just looked, out of curiosity and I average 0.35 posts per day here. Granted, there’s times when that number is higher. During the season, and during recruiting. I enjoy recruiting. It fascinates me, honestly, watching how coaches go about it, etc.

This is one of two boards I read/post on, with the other being OM Spirit Board. I’ve always thought a lot of y’all are funny and don’t take this stuff so serious. There’s a lot of dumbasses in the rivalry, I try not to be one of them.

If I want to point out something I think is negative about MSU, the Spirit board is where I should do that, not here. That’s not my place here. So I probably do come across as fake nice or overboard, honestly. But it’s just because I’m trying not to be an *******.

The self-degradation is honestly just my personality/sense of humor. But, I’m also realistic about things with MSU, despite wanting y’all to lose every game you ever play. I can prefer Ole Miss’s signing class while also recognizing that the perceived gap between the two isn’t reality. If my subconscious is maroon, I should probably seek therapy because I am WAYYYY out of touch with my feelings.

I like this guy. And truth is, most right-thinking, rational rebel fans I know - and that's only a very few, because only a very few exist in the world - don't waste too much time on their own message boards. It depresses them to discover how much of their fan base is full of racists and pricks and general dumbassery. SPS usually has better, slightly more adult, discussions and much better content.
