My takeaway here is that while so much of our fanbase struggle with that "we're poor old Mississippi State" mindset, you see what the perception is in other parts of the country when a recruit from Texas says, "I always wanted to play at a big school like that."

Cliff notes? Can’t read it.

Basically, he is a huge Cowboys fan so was excited to play where Dak played. He also knows that Leach gets QBs to pass for a ton of yards. He was considering Leach when he was at WSU but going to the SEC closed the deal.

That guy will end up being the QB that pans out, wait and see. However, I could see him redshirting and maybe being the guy 4-5 years from now.

The most intriguing thing to me is Rogers vs. Robertson NEXT year. Robertson didn't come to MSU to sit the bench, and he's been the starter on his high school team forever running the Air Raid. Of course, it'd be better if he was coming in the spring.

Also an FYI - Robertson plans to play baseball here. I didn't know that.

Running the air raid in high school means nothing in the SEC as a freshman.
Nothing.

Totally disagree. Look at how much more comfortable Rogers is in this offense than Costello. Why? Because he’s been running it for 3-4 years already. Knows what the reads/keys are. The biggest difference is things move much faster in the SEC.

Running the air raid offense is exactly why Greek and Robertson are here. They both ran an air raid scheme and it will help greatly in the transition. No doubt this is the SEC, not Texas high school. Thats why Gardner picked it up, why Will picked it up and exactly why Jack will not start. He will struggle with this offense. Sawyer will start in 2022 I bet. We have the future already

The air raid isn’t really an offense. You can throw the ball a 100 times and call it the air raid.

Doesn’t mean the strategy or style of passing and route running is the same.
