As I was watching last nights game, I could not help but think how could we would be if Woodard, Perry, and even Nick Weatherspoon were still at State. That team would probably be our best since our last team to win the SEC title.
Unfortunately, I also started thinking about the possibility of Molinar and Stewart leaving after this season and having to start all over again next year.
The constant turnover of players and lack of polished upper classmen just makes it very difficult to really get into men's basketball these days. I think this is one of the reasons (besides winning) that makes the womens team and our baseball team so popular is that we get to know them over 4 years in most cases unlike the men who have one good season and split to play in Romania or Siberia. Any chance of the NCAA ever imposing a rule about players leaving early like college baseball?
