Watching the SNL Christmas special and this thought came to me... Everyone knows Dick in a Box, Matt Foley, etc... but what’s that one skit that rarely gets the love you think it should?

Mine would be the Scarlett Letter from 2001. Will Ferrell, as always, kills it.

The Jeffrey’s Clothing store ones always cracked me up as well.

Jason Sudekis doing Jesus in Tim Tebow’s locker room was pretty fantastic. Bonus points for being Mr. 13 from House.

The Partridge Family vs. Brady Bunch skit from February '92. The "cameo" at the end by Chris Rock as a Mushmouth/Dumb Donald mash-up from Fat Albert left me hurting from the laughter.

These are two of my favorites. I don’t know if they are super popular or underrated or not. Dana Carvey was one of my favorites.

Every time a thread on here starts turning into a back and forth argument, I feel like shouting “I am an assistant manager in charge of 29 people! People are scared of me! I’m very important!... I drive a Dodge Stratus!”

Kelsey Grammar as Captain Nemo explaining 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Bill Murray as Whip Master.

Those are two I love that nobody else seems to remember.

This Old House parody with John Larroquette as Bob Villa rehabbing a haunted house.

"Well, Peggy, this is a hellmouth. You don’t want to leave this open, not with a baby in the house."

Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase conducting a job interview is the GOAT. NSFW at all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9TS1pRmajU&list=PLlqrQLsO3sbzaL-647A0OFEzOIlLGUIUZ&index=535

Some great background on it, including a fantastic quote at the end from Johnny Carson: https://www.salon.com/2013/11/03/sa...told_s tory_behind_snls_edgiest_sketch_ever/

As far as more recent ones, this skit always cracks me up. I really liked Jay Pharoah as a player and I honestly think Drake could be a comedian.

Great thread

Don’t know if they are underrated, but I like the What’s my Name sketches. Bill Hader is great in those. The one where Justin Timberlake can’t remember his fellow NSync member is a great jab at how he left that group behind. John Mulaney not being able to name any of his wife’s bridesmaids even when given 3 out of 4 letters in the name.

The job interview is still the GOAT. And yes, definitely NSFW. Thanks for the link to the Salon article. Love the background info. I need to check out that Pharoah sketch too...

I don't know if it's underrated but The Chris Farley Show skit with Paul McCartney is great.

There was also a skit back in the late 90s or maybe early 2000s when Garth Brooks was the host where they did a game show called Old French *****. It was just so dumb and ridiculous but it made me and my roommate crack up laughing. To this day, we'll stay just randomly pop out with "I think my ***** is dead" whenever we see each other.
