I doubt it actually happens but be cool for the state and city if it did.

Would love to see it a tie-in for SEC #13 or whatever, with the understanding that there often won't be an available team, but if there is, the team doesn't get flung wherever.

I wouldn't want to play there in a season where we're good, but this year or a year we went like 6-6 it would be fun and convenient.

They could always go the LSU route and steal from the Children's hospital next door to fund it.

That would be great for the city of Jackson and the whole state. No reason this can't and won't happen. Good to see our city leaders being a bit proactive in this. We need our state leaders to get on board too.

Well the “Bold New City”, as Rob Jay once called it, has started repairing the “Gateway To the City From the Delta” to the tune of $4 million being spent on Medgar Evers Blvd. so Central Arkansas or Arkansas State would have a new road to ride their buses into town on.

Is there even a hotel down there equipped and nice enough to host all a bowl entails? Conference rooms, restaurants, etc. ?

That would be a huge embarrassment for the city, the state and the sponsor too. That stadium is a dump, that city is a dump, that administration is a dumpster fire. If it were as someone said earlier a C-USA team and a Sunbelt, there would be little to no attendance from those schools so not much hotel, restaurant, etc business either. Locals may or may not attend and they aren't staying in a hotel. This is just Chucky Labamba making an attempt to say he tried to do something and then blame it on somebody else when it doesn't materialize. Hell they can't even provide basic services to the city, they can't put on a bowl game.
