Auburn: Auburn just seems stuck in mediocrity, and a 10-game SEC-only schedule just further exposed that. Auburn pulled out a 24-10 win over Mississippi State on Saturday night to finish 6-4 on the year, but it was not a very inspiring performance — especially on offense. The Tigers led just 6-3
at the half and had only 55 passing yards at that point. It was the latest example of Auburn only beating the SEC’s bottom-feeders. In fact, Auburn hasn’t beaten a single team with a winning record this year, and its average margin of defeat against teams with winning records is 20.3 points. The Tigers also lost to South Carolina, a team that finished the year 2-8. Yuck.

That's an insult to catfish.
They're delicious.
Ayone ever heard the mating call of a sasquatch?

At least catfish are good bottom feeders.... our Athletic Department right now would be the laughing stock of the SEC if not for Vandy.

Does our record indicate that we’re not bottom-feeders? I’m not offended by the comparison as much as I am the actual record.

We're those fish you put in aquariums to suck the algae off the sides of the tank. Sometimes we're not on the bottom but our role never really changes.

If your name isn't Bama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, or Georgia you are considered mid-tier (at best) or bottom feeder. I put Auburn there because they don't deserve it but they get the benefit of the doubt from the media. We have been a bottom feeder more often than not in our football history.

I don't think the Media should be a good source for solid information, not even sports media.

We have had a tough year but there are worse. All you really have to do to validate Auburn isn't the usual Auburn is point to the Bama game. Even in down years they usually play Bama tough. That comment is click bait for MSU and USCe fans.

The Media says we are a bottom feeder

Is 'the media' wrong?
Also, who is 'the media'?...you didn't link anything. Who doesn't link what they are referencing?
'The media' is far too vast for you to honestly claim 'they' view MSU in one way. I could pull up media opinions that MSU isnt a bottom feeder, if that makes you feel better and helps you view 'the media' differently.

Sounds right. In State’s 116 years of playing football, our Aggies/Maroons/Bulldogs have finished ranked in the AP Top 25 14 times. Now to be fair it is likely that the AP Top 25 hasn’t existed the entire 116 years of State football, but to be fair on the other side, of the 12 decades of football in that time period only 3 have seen a Mississippi State football program win more than losing over a 10 year span.

Well...

Cohen was at state during a time where baseball was the only thing relevant snd king. When Dan was here and Vic was here that wasn’t the case. Well he has done a fine job of getting it back to the glory days when he was here where the baseball program is the only thing relevant.

Well, if we lose to Mizzou, we'll have lost our most recent game to every SEC team except Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and LSU. So it sounds about right.

So what's the problem w/ being called a bottom feeder? We have been the "catfish of the West" for 3 seasons in a row in many ways
