I think they probably do if they finish 9-1 and there is no undefeated Pac-12 team.
The Big 12 is done. The Pac-12 is probably not going to be seriously considered unless Oregon or another team finishes 7-0, and I don't think Cincinnati/BYU/etc. have a real shot. So it's probably 4 teams from the SEC/ACC/Big 10, although taking 7-0 Oregon probably takes a lot of heat off the Committee. Let's assume there is no undefeated team wins the Pac-12.
The SEC, ACC, and Big 10 Champions are all in for sure. The only Big 10 team that could realistically get in without a conference title is an Ohio State team that loses the Big 10 Championship Game without getting embarrassed - I don't think the Committee would extend that same favor to Northwestern, nor to Indiana finishing with 1 close loss and not playing in Big 10 CG.
The only ACC team who could get in as a second team would be Notre Dame losing the ACCCG to Clemson in the rematch. If Notre Dame wins the rematch, Clemson is out and the ACC is locked into just 1 team.
If Alabama loses the SECCG to Florida, they're probably the second SEC team and Texas A&M is SOL. But if Alabama beats Florida and A&M is 9-1, the fourth spot should be theirs unless Ohio State or Notre Dame lose their conference championship games and the Committee takes them over A&M, and I think A&M's resume would compare favorably to either of those.
