Rogers is not an SEC quarterback

[forestdepth]

We are in trouble if this guy is our future.

[DesotoCountyDawg]

His first career start as a true freshmen. I wouldn’t start jumping off the bridge yet.

[BoDawg.sixpack]

He's playing better than a number of other "SEC" players on the O.

[UpTheMiddlex3Punt]

Have you been watching our O-Line? It looks like a jailbreak blitz when they rush three

[Leeshouldveflanked]

He’s 41 year old Drew Brees without the accuracy or mobility.

[DAWG61]

Yup and guys that throw 78 mph fastballs aren't SEC pitchers.

[BossDawg78]

More like....we are not an SEC team, and Leach may not be an SEC coach. This goes far beyond QB play.

[Eleven Bravo]

Rogers is not the future. The future is playing high school football somewhere in Texas. He may not be any better than Rogers after he gets to Starkville, though.

[PearlRiverCoDawg]

He can not handle pressure at all. He's been just as scared to run with the ball as KJ was too.

[dawgman42]

His OL sucking hurts him, but his mechanics and awareness really are bad.

[Dogariffic]

Kinda hard to tell without a pass attempt longer than 5 yards.

[Mobile Bay]

We are in trouble if this guy is our future.

Go call Finebaum and yell about it.

[Leeshouldveflanked]

Rogers would not be successful in this offense even if the Defense counted to 5 Mississippi before they rushed.

[BossDawg78]

Kinda hard to tell without a pass attempt longer than 5 yards.

3rd and 25....better go with the checkdown

[msstate7]

He’s 41 year old Drew Brees without the accuracy or mobility.

Lol, wut? After a horrible start and missing his best wr for all but 1 game, Brees is 6th in the Nfl in passer rating and qbr

[WrapItDog]

Yup and guys that throw 78 mph fastballs aren't SEC pitchers.

Jon Harden wants to meet you at Sonic. He's going to whoop your *** with a bunch of slow and furious punches

If he's not, the Robertson kid will come in and beat him out, and you can sleep at night.

[patdog]

I really thought he might be until today. But he has no pocket awareness at all and makes bad decisions. It's a miracle, and a bad Vandy defense, he didn't turn the ball over 3 times. I hope this HS kid committed to us is good.

[karlchilders.sixpack]

The deal is , he is young kid,

playing QB, in a difficult situation.

The other side of this...

All of these players are now paid...Pro, semi-pro what ever you wish to call them.

My sympathy level is low.

It was ok, when it was amature game.

[Leeshouldveflanked]

So the fate of MSU Football for the next 10 years depends on a HS kid on Texas...

[Mafiadawg]

Nothing personal but Rogers sucks. We are embarrassing

[Ranchdawg]

Maybe you are projecting.

[Kojak.sixpack]

True Freshman QB against an all SEC Schedule

We are in trouble if this guy is our future.

That has played QB carrousel all year. OUR FANBASE IS THE WORST.

Keep it up and you fans are going to get what you deserve. A decade or longer of pitiful play.

[klong-dog]

I was disappointed in his pocket awareness. It seemed he would move toward the defenders while being in the pocket, rather than improvising and giving himself more time.

[RocketDawg]

We are in trouble if this guy is our future.

He's barely out of high school. It's hard to tell how good he'll be, but right now he has very, very little college experience. He has to have a chance.

[was21]

How do you know? State is not playing SEC football

[msstate7]

Lol, wut? After a horrible start and missing his best wr for all but 1 game, Brees is 6th in the Nfl in passer rating and qbr

Lol @ downvotes

[Cooterpoot]

Lacks a big arm. Is a system QB, but it's this system. He'll start next year.

[snoopdog]

Truth

Jon Harden wants to meet you at Sonic. He's going to whoop your *** with a bunch of slow and furious punches

Nm

[HumpDawgy]

Dylan Favre would be great in this offense.***

[DirtyDog]

Sometimes Mississippi State Fans.....

We are in trouble if this guy is our future.

This team has a lot of problems, and those problems begin with the offensive line....not the QB. The offensive line is not protecting the QB at all. Cunningham stepped in for Cross due to COVID so the line was even worse than it has been. On one series, Cunningham had a false start, a hold, and three complete whiffs on the defensive end from....Vandy. Rogers was playing okay when the play calling actually mixed in a few toss sweeps, but as the line again failed to block practically anyone, then he got rattled. The clock in his head sped up and his decision making became frantic. Have to protect a true freshman QB or play is going to be sporadic.
