Hill looks officially done.

Place the blame where it lies. Hill is a 17in headcase.

Wanna blame a coach for not reigning that **** in early (if that were even possible) blame Jugghead.

And I’ll stop myself right there, since IBdancin might cry if I continue.

If they aren't putting out a decent effort, they should leave. Some expect to be begged to stay though

If Hill had put the same effort into his in-game running as he did Twitter and State Flag soapboxing he’d be a Heisman finalist. Downvote away.

Well to do that you obviously have the inside scoop on the situation, so please share. Otherwise there will just be a bunch of wild speculation!

Somebody will get a steal in the 4-6th rounds.

Maybe. But he's going to have to do a significant amount of maturing before someone is willing to invest in him. Talent is plentiful. It's what's between the ears that separates the great ones from the good ones.

Hopefully so, but he plays a position in which supply greatly outpaces demand. Based on talent alone, I could see him going somewhere between round 5 and 7, but rest assured that he’ll be asked about all
this. If a GM doesn’t like the answer, he won’t get the time of day

I need to hear this scoop on why Leach is to blame.
It's dorndawg. Not hard to figure out. Hill's been a problem since he walked in the door. Mullen was the only guy who had a chance of controlling him from the beginning. Leach is similar to Mullen in that regard, but that wasn't 'his' guy, and he had a lax few years under Slophead, so Leach's tactics weren't exactly well-received.

But see, dorn thinks we need to let gourdheads like that run the show.

Oh I'm well aware of the reasons(not reason) Hill is no longer in the program but Leach being to blame is really reaching.

Now, moving on with those who actually want to compete.

Not good.

May be the best alternative available, but Hill has a ton of ability. Would have been nice if he could have kept his head on straight. Maybe this will be good for Hill though. He's not the type of talent that can get away with being any kind of lockerroom distraction in the NFL (hardly any NFL RB can afford to now the way the position has been devaluted). Maybe this will cause him to come in with the right attitude to begin with and make himself a boobie like career if nothing else.

Or in other words, he's a quitter. Good luck finding a spot in the NFL.

Well, I guess Kylin is getting more of the attention he craves. Well crap, looks like the picture function on SPS is broken. Anyway, he tweeted "Dang, I left the team? That's news to me."

One way or the other this needs to be settled so we can move on. If the decision is to move on I thank him for being a bulldog and wish him well. There are two sides to every story but it does appear to my eyes that Kylin might be a little too outspoken for his own good. My only advice for him is to realize that it takes more than physical talent to be successful in the NFL.

I place 100% of it on Kylin. Never known a coach to suspend a player without good cause. Kylin may be a guy who takes whatever chance the NFL gives him and changes to make the most of it or he might squander it in Nkemdiche style. I don't think that he has the explosiveness or speed required to have a big impact in the NFL.

Kylin Hill expected to leave team, begin prep for NFL draft (because actually playing football isn't)

have you seen the talented head cases in the NLF? they are all over the place. it's the coaches job to manage personalities. the best coaches can make it work.

That’s what gets me. If all of these injuries in the NFL doesn’t tell you have valuable in game experience is to becoming a better player and prepping your body I don’t know what to tell you.

Maybe he is opting out to write a book titled “How to lose millions of dollars in a matter of months”.

Leach's job is to win football games, and Hill gives him the best means of doing that. It's his job to make it work. Hill certainly has ample blame as well.

Sounds like some folks are fine being losers so long as coach "does it the right way".

Leach's job is to win football games, but that doesn't mean his job is to maximize the chances of winning the next few games. Most coaches have opportunities in the short term to let discipline or culture slide in order to maximize the chances of winning a particular game, but that's not a good approach for winning games over time. We could have certainly been better in 2012 if Mullen had let Robinson play the majority of RB snaps. Maybe it wouldn't have hurt us for 2014, or maybe Robinson would have been in unmanageable before 2014 even got started.

THIS! Holy crap that was funny.
And I don't see this as a "good" thing either. There are very few cases where all the blame can be placed on 1 person and this certainly is not one of them.
Hill could have done things different, likely Leach could have too. Not good.

No it's not, but high star athletes don't quit teams all over the NCAA in the middle of the season either. Saban manages personalities. he has 4 and 5 stars all over the place and you don't think some of those guys are head cases or prima donnas? that's what these SEC coaches get paid for. Manage the team, develop, manage personalities.

His job is to build a football program that is successful and wins. If Kylin is finding it hard to fit into that program, then he won't be part of it. I have no details, but I'm a big fan of giving authority and support to the guy who has all the responsibility and that is Leach. If I'm Leach there is no way I'm sacrificing my methods, ideals and/or culture for a player.

You're correct on Leach's performance, but Hill isn't the best example to make your point. He's been a problem for 4 years now.
