We were supposed to lose to LSU.
We were supposed to beat Arkansas.
Kentucky was a toss up.
We were supposed to lose to Texas A&M.
1-3, possibly 2-2.

After watching the past 3 performances:

What in the bloody hell????

It's Leach ball. I said since we hired him that there would be a year that we lose to Kentucky and beat LSU and Bama.

2/3 ain't bad.

The worst thing that could have possibly happened is beating LSU. The growing pains associated with learning this system along with the complications of no spring and summer due to COVID would be the first thing everyone thought of as these losses pile up. But with leading off with the win against our jinxed nemesis, everyone lost their mind and their memory of the reality of where we are and also where we will be when he’s had time to teach.

There’s a little bit of Moorhead-ness going on right now with “the way we are losing”. Joe’s overall record was not THAT bad, but it seemed a lot worse because how dysfunctional we looked in certain games. The difference is Leach’s history says we will get past this eventually, Joe had no such track record.

I can’t effectively judge what Leach is going to be based on this season. It will be 2021 or 2022 before I can really have a good idea of what we are dealing with.

Well, to be fair joe mo had the 4 non-conference games to pad his record. If Joe mo was facing this 10 game SEC schedule, 3-7 would be the ceiling and 1-9 would likely be the outcome.

Not much different from what we're looking at now. Maybe one game worse on both, but that's a maybe.

Agreed that the offense has looked totally out of whack and needs to get better.

One thing I will say about Leach compared to Moorhead is, to me, we look much more disciplined and competent in most phases of the game. Defense is playing hard, well coached/organized, and not really any dumb, unnecessary personal fouls. Special teams has looked much better, outside of the blocked punt this weekend. Physically we appear to be in much better shape.

Obviously the offensive execution has been ugly three weeks in a row. But as a program, we do look much more disciplined and organized. There were a few games per year with Moorhead where it looked like our team didn’t even want to be at the stadium- I haven’t gotten that vibe at all yet with Leach.
