1. We have to stop the wide splits. It doesn’t matter if we have prime Aaron Rodgers in the backfield, when you have 3 defenders in your face it’s hard to complete accurate passes down field.

2. Costello needs to sit. Rodgers had a much better feel of where to go with the ball. Costello looked like he was solving calculus equations before he threw the ball. That won’t work especially with our offensive line.

3. At least try to develop some type of running game. It doesn’t have to be relatively significant, but we HAVE to stop defenses from dropping 8. We only had 10? “rushing” plays. Let’s get that to 17-18 and keep defenses honest. Marks is a promising back.

I was skeptical of the Leach hire but I can’t sit here and say he’s a bust. I do think he needs to make adjustments though but his track record proves he won’t. Next year will be the make or break year. If we still have the same offensive ineptitude and he still refuses to adjust, maybe it’s time to think we made the bad decision.

Script the plays so that the OL knows exactly what their responsibility is and run the play in the script. You got 40 seconds, the play should be off with 28 seconds left. You got 25 seconds. The play should be off with 17 seconds on the clock. This getting to the line with 24 seconds on a 25 second clock and getting the play off with 3 seconds is asinine!

#3 - we had -2 yards rushing today. I realize some of that was sacks, but that just can’t happen in the SEC.

Bottom line offensive line is very bad, Costello just not good in this offense and definitely need a running game only problem is Leach will not change and will not run the ball. SEC has to many talented players and better coaches who will continually play 3 man front and 8 deep which will continually give Leach’s teams problems year in and year out.
