Any word how Byrne is doing? Just a little strange that two high ranking employees who frequently interact both test positive, but the more important employee - who happens to have the most important game of the season tonight - is deemed a “false” positive.

I’m not calling bs. But if they suddenly have more positive cases related to the football program next week, there should be some major sanctions.

He’s had 5 tests done since that positive result including 2 PCR tests.

Is the PCR test the one that uses the deep swab, which apparently is more accurate than the "quick test" that is basically just at the entrance of the nose?

Google says there are two types of Covid tests - the PCR, and an antibody test that uses a blood sample. It doesn't differentiate betweent the deep swab and the "quick test" shallow swab.

A PCR test picks up on genetic material from the virus. It’s the most accurate test for detecting it and can even give a false positive from just bits and pieces of genetic material left over after the body has killed the virus. If he’s has two negative PCR tests then he’s clear.

In unrelated news the body of a med lab employee was found in a wooded area outside Tuscaloosa. The cause of death was ruled to be a natural gun shot to the head. Case closed********

It's not hard to figure out what's going on here. Much like similar ruthless dictators Castro and Saddam, Saban has a double.

The PCR is extremely accurate. Almost too accurate in a sense. You can still test positive after you're not contagious because the PCR picks up dead virus particles.

Rapid tests are not 100% for any illness. You can get false readings on the flu and strep from rapid tests.

Was his first test - the one that showed him and Greg Bryne to be positive - the PCR test?

And how is Byrne? Nobody says.
