Than you is one thing... Leach has been out coached and out schemed by bottom half defensive talent Teams in the last 2 weeks.

He better find some solutions quick.

There is no solution. We have a bunch two-and-a-star wide outs that can’t find a soft spot in the zone if there was a gun to their mother’s head, and a piece of fools gold from the petrified forest in Yazoo City at QB. This is the new normal.

We don’t need a bunch of great wr against that defense - just one and find him every down or just throw immediately to Hill out of the backfield Every down until they stop it.

He caught 15 balls but I would have thrown it to him 15 of the first 20 plays of the game

Better WR talent would certainly help but I don’t think our receiver talent is THAT bad. Our biggest issue is an o-line that can’t block three with five and a QB who looks terribly terribly lost against a zone (and our freshman backup QB doesn’t appear to be ready yet).

If they're only rushing 3, a mediocre QB should be able to stand in the pocket and wait for someone to come open.

Actually, having to throw underneath routes all night, the oline should not need to block 3 very long. We take 25 seconds to get a play off then hold the ball for 6 to 7 seconds waiting for WR to get open. We should have had 2 WO running quick slants and 2 slot guys running quick outs every play with 2 second throws all night until they got out of that umbrella. If there was ever a time you need a TE it is against the defenses we are facing. Running the seam, so that he clears out a hole for the RB or a quick slant from slot. But our QB held it and then expected his receivers to just get open and squat instead of him throwing them open early. It is the execution more than it is the scheme. Matt Corral would be a Heisman candidate in this offense with his ability to run when things aren’t open.

I feel like after watching Matt Wyatt's vid of last week that we are looking for receivers after they get in the zone rather than throwing to open spots where they should be. This offense should be more timing passes that spit the zone.

That’s true tonight but KJ had plenty of time in the pocket vs. Arkansas with similar returns.

It's hard to do that when he comes out every 3rd play.
