So, how will the ticket scalpers handle electronic only ticketing?

I'm not thinking many fans will transfer their tickets to a scalpers phone and then the scalper will transfer to a buyer?

They'll eventually figure something out, but for now, a lot of them are out of business.

Speaking of electronic scalpers.... stubhub

i went out there this morning out of curiosity.

About 170 tickets available a few hours ago. As low as $65 and high of $285 with an average of $120 per ticket.

some of those tickets are over priced. But I assume folks are trying to get their BC donation back. However there is no way in hell an upper deck ticket is worth $120 when you have a big HD tv at home.

However the highest ticket was $285 and is in the scoreboard club. How much is the BC donation for that area? $2000 a seat? Assuming $2000 donation per seat. $75 face value(I dnk, guessing). 5 games this year..... $475 to sit in the scoreboard club per game If you bought through the school. Insane! Anyways..... $285 is a deal by that logic.

Aren't upper decks only $275/season w/ no BC donation required? $120 is ridiculous, somebody just wants to gouge a Pig fan, not that there's anything wrong with that

I ended up in 311 and my two tickets were total 530.00 no donation required.

We opted out of season tickets this year but have said we would consider buying tickets for a single game or two if we could find a pretty cheap option. Granted, that was before we beat LSU and demand wasn’t as high. Now people really want to see our first home game with the Air Raid, plus you’ve probably got some price gouging going on in some instances. But it is what it is.

Seeing what prices on the secondary market are this weekend are probably going to make this a DIY project kind of weekend for me. Just can’t justify paying prices that high, particularly for single game upper deck seats. I’ll be curious to see if prices stay like this all year, my guess is A&M and Auburn will be a challenge to find reasonably priced tickets for but Vandy and Mizzou will be a little easier. We shall see,
