Is this a safe space for pro baseball talk?

I took a quick glance at the Astros stats for the year.... and let me tell ya... I didn’t see one player who didn’t regress from last year. I found that to be really interesting.

To be fair, you didn't have to beat a garbage can this year, you could whisper from the dugout what was coming

I don’t know if it was posted here or not but Dakota Hudson is having Tommy John, will miss the whole 2021 season. He was pitching well before his injury. Normally pitchers get couple mph after TJ surgery, hopefully that doesn’t effect his sinker.

Didn’t he do something funny after that World Series right before the post game interview. Maybe went to the dugout and removed something first? Maybe I’m thinking of something else.

I believe it was a homerun he hit that when he rounded third for home he started making gestures to his teammates to not hit or pull around his shoulder (where the alleged buzzer was taped).

How about playoff baseball on ABC.

I’ve never seen them cover baseball.

I remember as a kid NBC would carry the World Series but never ABC with any kind of baseball.

They would tear off the jersey of whoever hit a game winning hit. Altuve grabbed his shoulder to keep anything from coming out and ran directly to the locker room. He came back out when he was "ready". He claimed that he was shy or some ******** but it was really obvious once the rumors of the buzzer came out.

He claimed in the on field interview right after the game that his wife didn't like him being shirtless on TV. Smelled like BS when I saw it live and in hindsight its the most obvious thing ever. Rob Manfred should and could have hammered the Astros but for whatever reason let them off.

As a baseball coach, I've observed Altuve as very popular with a lot of kids, and it's easy to root for an undersized guy like that, but wow, he pretty much destroyed his image and I think his HOF chances will be impacted as well.

Carlos Beltran is another one. He went from highly regarded and well respected to getting fired from his manager gig before ever coaching a game over that nonsense.

Beltran had a great image before this mess but it’s unreal how quickly his name became persona non grata. The only person in baseball I can think of that tumbled that fast was Palmeiro.
