Im afraid MSU missed out on the best player in the state in Jarquez Hunter. Tonight he eclipsed Marcus Duprees TD record..now at 88. He is unbelievable on offense and defense.
Starkville is so good on offense! They have playmakers at every position. The QB throws darts and has great feet. FSU is getting a good one. The rb Howard is fast but seems to struggle holding onto the ball. He fumbled 3 times last night on 9 carries and 2 receptions(i think). This is the 2nd game Ive watched of theirs and he doesn’t ever get many carries. Hope its just the injuries he is fighting off.

Germantown Mavs...their rb has an offer from us and I can see why. He is big, strong and fast. Their oline is really weak so he has to do a lot of work himself.
They also have a DT that reminds me of Raekwon Davis. He is huge, powerful and pretty athletic to be as big as he is.

Hunter is a beast. Pound for pound best player at Neshoba since Derrick Hoskins, who spent several years in silver and black. I am at a loss as to why we aren’t all over this kid. He can do anything. Heck he even completed a 40 yard pass last night. I know Tony Hughes is high on him but not sure why the offer isn’t there. One thing is the “Coveted offer from Auburn”. That rumor has taken a life of its own, but at the end of the day he gets an offer from us he will take it. Great kid as well. Kind of player we make famous. Someone that knows how needs to find the play from last week where he hawks the ballcarrier down from behind. That one play will tell you everything you need to know about Jarquez Hunter.
