I swear that onside kick, that’s the type of play that only State fans expect to happen. They didn’t even have to pick it up, just kick it oob while it’s rolling on the ground and it’s ballgame. Just proud that Dak stepped up and capitalized on the mistake. They got a little luck but as John Wooden put it, “luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.”

PS if my HS basketball coach reads the pack I originally got that quote from you 22-23 years ago.

Well kicking the ball out of bounds would be a penalty and a rekick but they certainly could have fallen on it at any time.

I had to look that one up, I was mistaken and you are correct. After thinking about it seems like I remember KJ Wright being involved with a play where he illegally batted the ball out of bounds in Seattle several years ago

McCarthy needs to get these guys focused. This was a great game to build off of in terms of momentum. The first half fumbles were atrocious.

They were showing the onside kick on ESPN, those Falcons not jumping on the ball before the 10 yards are really dumbasses and the Special Teams coach should be called to the carpet. I assuming they had the good hands guys out there and not the normal kickoff return team but still they should know the rules.

Not only that, but the Cowboys had three turnovers in the first quarter.

The odds of losing a game while scoring 39 points, not turning it over, and turning the other team over three times are astronomical. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that on any level of football.

Don’t forget Dallas turned it over on downs twice, on their end of the field both times I believe. So really 5 TO’s

Gee....its almost like they are a great passing team with an extremely poor defense that can’t run the ball when it matters (or at all).

Certainly not much has changed since their Super Bowl choke job.

I, for one, had great enjoyment watching the Falcons choke away another one. Couldn't happen to a better bunch.
