we are going to lock more political posts. Sports is starting take over most of the discussion anyway and as soon as we get to 9/26 - we are going to do our best to get it back to old times.

With this being a presidential election - we would usually allow a little more political talk. If you can't have a decent discussion, it will be locked. Don't ask why, don't send a private message, don't send a message why one remains unlocked, don't start a new thread saying "Thanks, mods for locking that thread". Do any of those things - temporary ban will be put in place.

It will up to the discretion of those that monitor the board.

Start on 9/14. Political posts are stupid. No one is changing their mind.

Agreed - I'm assuming for the first time in history we have NFL and MLB playing during the NBA and NHL playoffs, plus some some college football. Two weeks from our own season opener. If you can't find sports to watch and talk about, you might as well give up on sports entirely and find a different message board.

It would be nice to match the up/down vote to commemorate the occasion.

I think sports/politics would be fitting.

Good. I haven't been involved in the political discussions, other than maybe a couple of posts, for obvious reasons. There are some crazies on this board that root for the Dawgs. I guess it takes all types. Go sports!

Everyone say your goodbye's to L4 and others as they disappear as we go back to strictly sports discussion.

But what about those of us who are "done with sports" because they're too political but still want to come to a sports message board for astute political and legal analysis?****

Can I ask why you hate America?

And do I really need to put sarcasterisks on that above question?

Let me add - a lighthearted discussion like "have you gone out to eat since COVID" would be allowed.

On the contrary - "**** Donald Trump and his handling of COVID" or "Joe Biden is an absolute moron..." - that might end up getting locked.

Sadly most of the lighthearted discussions have turned political by about the 5th post

Dawg61 should be ecstatic. With political threads stopped after 9/26, that's one less topic he has to worry about getting owned over in message board threads.

Can we start this weekend? Football is already back on. Most sports are being played snd televised. We have had enough politics

Agree start right now but for one exception. If Trump v Biden happens on Joe Rogan everyone should buy alcohol and go full throttle in that thread alone then lock it and burn it.

Thanks for letting grown men and women talk. We appreciate the forum to do so!
