On Netflix, I’m really enjoying the watch.

For all you meat smokers out there that enjoy a good brisket. It’s an interesting view. You’d probably enjoy watching.

I live in Austin, and I hadn’t heard of it either. Hear about franklin’s all the time. I hear there’s a superb pitmaster a little out of Austin in Taylor.

This place is about and hour out of Austin heading east toward houston. Not far from college station.....really small town.

Just saw that. Used to watch bbq pit masters all the time. Mixons son has some new show I came across lately. I didn't like it as much.

Going to watch this show over the next few days.

Speaking of BBQ...... I went to Hattiesburg over the weekend to let the kids pick out a new puppy(we squirrel hunt with dogs for all you rich landowners that want a fun hunt hit me up), and was told about Murkey Waters. Their Burnt Ends were as good as any I've bought. I've had some at cooking events that were better but it is worth trying if you are ever around Hub City. My Father in law had the brisket and he said the smoke was perfect on it.

That's surprising because the Murky Waters in Gulfport is some of the worst **** I've ever had in my life. First time I got brisket it was drier (dryer?) than jerky, and the second, and last, time I got it it was like 17ing chuck roast. Bah gawd it was pathetic.
The worst bbq I have ever had was in Marathon, FL. I should have known better, but it was next door, so I gave it a shot. The brisket was good in a slow cooker. Seriously.

Murky Waters in Gulfport isn't good, but it's not terrible (or at least hasn't been the few times I've been there). It's just so-so bbq that is a little over priced. Sad thing is I don't think there is anything head and shoulders above it on the Coast. The only type of food that I want that I can't find a good option for on the Coast. Maybe Tayes but the location I used to go to isn't open anymore, so not sure.

Related. Anybody got one of these? https://www.masterbuilt.com/collect...ity-series-1050-digital-charcoal-grill-smoker

I've heard great things about them, but mostly seen pellet info on SPS. Those pellets remind me of hamster food from when I was a kid so I may have to try one of these masterbuilts out. I may need to hire someone from SPS to come over at night an vandalize my current grill so I can justify the purchase.

I like the looks of that, but I am so glad I have an egg and will not have to be buying anything else for the rest of my life barring it getting broken somehow. I would love to taste food off the grill/smoker you posted tho bc I do enjoy a burger over kingsford charcoal from time to time. Every grill out there has its perks...just got to find what works best for you and go with it. I got really sick of gas grills constantly having burners go out or the heat tints rusting out. So far I have had my egg for 9 years and have not replaced anything.

Maybe your experience was better, but the food I got has actually been awful. I’ve heard the wings are good, but after two tries I won’t be going back.
Fool me once, strike one. But fool me twice...strike three
