I mean he’s a good athlete and would be one of our tallest receivers. If he can catch the ball then why not?

Might be a good move. If he is athletic enough then why not? Lets be real here, his stand out moment was a run in which he failed to convert a 4th down... not like he was throwing 50 yard bombs downfield.

After QB the best position in a Leach coached team is a WR.

Could be a good move for him. Since it appears Rogers has passed him, it'd be his best chance to play this year. Even if he wants to transfer after the season to play as a QB, this year won't count against eligibility and it would probably be helpful for him to have film as a receiver for NFL purposes.

I'm sure it's a certain package or something. I can't imagine Shrader beating out the other WRs, but I could be wrong.

I love it because nobody is losing eligibility this year anyway, might as well get your best athletes on the field and let them roll. This does exactly that.

We have 25 WRs on the roster. I guess half of them are TEs or walkons. Those TEs had about 10 receptions between them all last year.

Then only about 3 or 4 of the actual WRs left have caught a pass in an SEC game (Mitchell, Payton, Williams). We better find 3 or 4 more somewhere that can catch 20 - 30 passes this year.

I'm not so sure it's a package thing. We may be honestly trying to find another WR who's ready to play this year.

Having so many WR and still adding is the only thing that makes me nervous about the offense this year. Surely if we had some good ones we wouldn’t feel the need to have so many. But maybe that is how leach always has the roster.

Has Leach ever utilized tight ends in the past?

I didn't know he was an Olivia Newton-John fan.

And holy hell, WTF is going on in this video?! I'd only ever HEARD the song.

You see, in the 1980s there was this extremely popular substance called cocaine. It's well known for it's ability to cause bad choices to be made.

Leach does not use tight ends. Never has.

Many of our WRs, the ones that can't catch, will be moving to defense shortly.

Unsure if/how it might fit Leach but would be cool if he was used like the Saints use T. Hill. (RB, WR, QB, etc...)

I'm expecting huge production improvements from Mitchell and Williams. (really all the WRs, it just seemed to me that those two stood out last year as having a ton of potential)

It seems like Leach is set on KJ for this year as expected and he's super high on Rogers. He recruited him at WSU. Shrader will transfer out and go dominate in another offense. Dear God I hope he doesn't transfer to an Auburn type team we have to play.

Please realize this could be gamesmanship as LSU now has to spend a little defense time on flanker passes they would not have before
