We recently had our floors redone and with it our whole house was a dust bomb. So during the deep clean I ran across something I haven’t seen in years. As several people that were on that bus ride in ‘96 can attest to. It’s amazing that this made it back from New York considering how drunk I was.

I never thought that we were going to be able to take down that juggernaut UK team again, but it infuriates me to this day that we didn't get past Syracuse. We were the better team 9 days out of 10

Here's mine though...

Baseball signed by the full '85 CWS team and a game used slugger from the 1971 CWS. My granddad worked for the MSU athletic department back in the day, so I've got all kinds of cool hand me downs from him. A Bear Bryant signed copy of "Bear" as well

they are actually pretty big. 42" x 4". the field was flooded with people and the post came down near where i was standing. everyone in the area grabbed for the flag (had to have been 5 or 6 people with a death grip on it). some baw pulled out a knife, cut up the flag so everyone could have a piece. took a little slice on the hand as a result, but i got part of the flag.

After the 1999 Egg Bowl about six (at the end, long story) people including myself ended up with a whole upright. Two hours later we traded the end with the flag for use of a saw.

Can you give more information about the bat? I have the same bat but know absolutely nothing about it...

I have lots of cool stuff but the most recent addition to my collection is a 2018 college world series baseball signed by everyone on the team.

When we beat Alabama in '96, I stormed the field with the rest of the crowd and went straight to the 50 yard line and called my dad on my cell. Despite the fact that he was a huge Bama fan, he was really happy we won. I think he understood how much it meant to me to witness that win firsthand.

Afterwards, I cut a piece of the turf off the field and have kept it in a cigar box along with the ticket stub to this day.

I was there. Might have the program but not the ticket stub. It was one of the most boring games ever, but I still thought we might break it open and win. Should've known better with Croome at the helm.

Thought you were talking about the Coronavirus when I first saw "bat". :)

Ever wonder what Louisville Slugger did to a wooden bat to "powerize" it?. I'm guessing nothing.

There was a drunk guy behind me who kept yelling at the game, and holding his head because of a splitting headache when not yelling. He said he was going to rush the field and get one of the goalpost flags, and he did. He came back and showed everybody. Poor guy looked a little worse for wear, but he got his flag. Pieces of the goalposts, cut with a saw, also showed up in the stands around us.

I found a shirt in my closet that says "Maroon is All that Matters". I can probably get rid of that...right ?

Both my wife and me have ones just like that one.

The most unique thing I have is a bulldog wall clock - but I also have my cowbell and freshman beanie from the '60s.

My 20 some odd year old hoodie. It is to athletic clothing as Honda is to small engines. I wear it 50+ times a year still. It's going in the casket with me.

I have one too. It's a gray nike sweatshirt with the "MSJ" logo on it. I've had it for 25 years. The neck and wrists on it are frayed but I still wear it all the time.

I used to have a framed Harvey Hull jersey. Loaned it to an alumni chapter who lost it. I do have a copy of Harvey's diploma with a personal note from him. Harvey was the original 99....before Johnny Cooks.
