Sources: Majority of LSU offensive line quarantined due to coronavirus exposure:

"All but four LSU offensive linemen are in quarantine after they either tested positive for COVID-19 or were determined to have high-risk exposure to the coronavirus, multiple sources told The Advocate on Wednesday.

Players who test positive for the coronavirus must isolate for at least 10 days after their positive test, according to Southeastern Conference COVID-19 protocols. Their symptoms must disappear for at least 24 hours before they can return to practice. Individuals with high-risk exposure must quarantine for 14 days."

Tucked away at the end of the article:

"We feel comfortable," Orgeron said last week. "The guys that did get sick, most of them are asymptomatic. They got quarantine and stuff like that. But we didn’t have guys that were really sick and had to take to the hospital or anything, so I think our guys are getting used to it.”

That was last week. And even if they're asymptomatic or have very mild symptoms, having to quarantine virtually an entire position group a month before your first game can't be good.

Man, hate to see this. Always tough watching a fellow bulldog try to give himself some optimism for the game against LSU. You can try to claim that's not what you were doing, but we all know the truth. I would tell you to stop but I know somebody that can't be helped when I see it...

Oh, no. I'm never optimistic about us. I usually set my expectations way low and then am happy for each and every win. I have every confidence that this will have no bearing on the game at all or have any impact on their preparations. I just thought it was noteworthy.

Is this the only disease that you can have it and never show symptoms at any point? And then add in it could be fatal. I have never seen any illness with this kind of spread.

On the positive side their QB likely won’t hafta suffer from being protected by a backup 4 star O-lineman midway through the season **

There are a number of serious cancers that can be asymptomatic until you are basically walking dead, barring some miraculous treatment/recovery.

True, but even with them you eventually have symptoms. This has to be the only illness you can catch and recover from and never know you had it. Especially one that can be fatal.

Bc asymptomatic carriers of other illnesses arent being pressured by every media and government agency to get tested.

Of course we really don’t know. Who ever gets tested for the flu or a gazillion other virus type ailments unless you have symptoms?

If we tested 30 million people for the flu this year, we may learn a lot more had it than we thought
