I guess he'll be Assistant Coach in charge of acting like a total jerk.

For some reason, I had to copy and paste the link.

Shady is the exact word to describe the entire recruiting process there.

One of the only memorable things Rick Ray ever did was tell Marshall 17 you to his face during a game right in front of the TV camera. I imagine many State fans dreamed of being able to do that.

Wonder how long it will last....The OPD hates him....

my cuz is OPD......the stories he told me about MH were almost unbelievable....until some of his OPD buddies hunted at my place and got to talking about him one night....with KD being a regular at StPeter's and MH's background, i can only think this is going to end up like a Hugh Freeze story.

I guess I’m in the minority, but I loved watching him play. I loved when he went back at the fans. The fans, especially students, say horrible things to players (I know I did), I see no problem with the players mouthing off right back to them. I never wanted OM to win even a scrimmage, but I wanted him to do well personally.

He was the prototype of “yeah, but he’s one of ours” type player. I fully understood why opposing fans hated him, and if he’d played at MSU I’d have loathed him. But, he was one of ours. And he made Ole Miss basketball must-see TV, which wasn’t easy to do. Him and Dan Mullen had that in common.. State fans knew he was an *******, but he was yalls ******* (probably could have chose better phrasing), and he helped you win, so you loved him.

He was a fun player to hate. I didn't have a problem with him but he seemed to be somewhat terrible off the court also, but I obviously didn't know him and that's just based on perception and second hand info.

My biggest problem with him is that I'm not sure he made his team that much better. He was a volume shooter that could get his shot off at any time, but he was a low percentage shooter. The point guard y'all had at the time (I think from Provine?) seemed to me to be a better player and I think y'all would have been better if you could have run the offense through him and Marshall accept a second banana role.

I did enjoy seeing him mess with everyone (except us). Hyper-competitors can be fun to watch. Seeing those auburn fans lose their **** is pretty gold. The Black dude in the white shirt grinning while he takes it all in and the announcer that looks like grizzly Adams sitting there smirking cracks me up so hard every time.

He could hurt the team at times but he made his teammates better because so much defensive attention and energy was exerted on him. His competitiveness was contagious, too, and that team wouldn’t back down from anyone. I mean they did win an SEC Championship, and were FAR from the most talented team, so I would have to say he made the team better. But I do get where you’re coming from, he could shoot you out of a game every now and then. But he could shoot you into one, too. And he often got opposing players so worked up, that they got away from their game, as well.

It took me a minute but I found this old article that breaks down the GIF, and it's so good. Enjoy.

There was a better article than this that I remember reading that broke down every single person in it, like the guy towards the upper left who just has so much emotion he can't decide how to best use it.. he flips him off, claps, points, hesitates and looks around, then claps again. The guy just can't decide how he wants to react. The guy who runs in from the left wanting Henderson to come fight him. I can't imagine how much his reaction would have changed if Henderson came into the stands.. it's just glorious.
